Good point Googs about the price for a potential JV/buyout. It should really be the case, in all fairness, with regards the price, that the Swedes must consider and accept how their treatment of our application has inevitably stunted our current market cap for over five years, due to the hampering of any further progress at Kallak.
Earmarked by our former Chairman as production being set for this year, one could argue that the sp at this stage would also have been well over £1. With the concession given in a timely fashion, according to BEM legally meriting such, money could have been raised along the way in the tens of pence on each occasion, rather than at lowly levels. Now we are seeing those levels ever decreasing.
So I feel any JV/buyout has to surely take into consideration our quite unique situation. Kurt can't allow the Swedes to get off lightly. Assuming of course that LKAB would be involved on behalf of the State.
Then we have the premium nature of the iron, the tonnage already proven up to mineable standard, with Kallak South still a massive future bonus for development.
I'd be disappointed if we didn't see £1, because much of our necessary dilution has been as a direct result of Swedish bureaucratic incompetence, and, perhaps, as with the CAB, purposeful intent to block our progress, regardless of the published criteria being met by BEM for the concession award. Our situation lumbers on, and without any real factual evidence presented by anyone as to why an award shouldn't be given.
In any negotiations, Kurt must be strong, and I do worry about that, because I personally feel he could have done more to really push the Swedes this year, but in view of our treatment, he has every reason to be strong, so I hope he comes through for us. I also hope he's reading this and it's left him fuming. Lol. Take it to the Swedes Kurt!
If LKAB is to have a slice of Kallak via JV, or all of it via a straight purchase, then it merits a premium price, including compensation for the damage inflicted on our Company over the last five years, and counting, by the authorities.
All important factors I reckon.
Only my view though Googs.
Best wishes matey.
