Someone is gearing up for a bit of drilling. See jobs on suli.gl. You can search under mining if link doesn’t work.
I don’t think it’s Amaroq.

Apologies if already posted but I missed it. Troy got a new job a few weeks back. Guess where?

Anyone in the least surprised by this?
I quite like the comparison with Cervantes great work. But if Rod is Don Quixote who is his faithful servant Sancho Panza?
I also liked this description of a BlueJay (an American bird);
Blue jays are symbols of communication, curiosity, and confidence. A sighting may be an omen urging you to speak up, be bold, and chase your goals. Seeing a blue jay may be a warning to second guess who you trust, as this rambunctious bird is also associated with trickery and deceit.
This interview (CNN) is a e few weeks old. I started listening at the time but realised it was the usual Kurt House spiel. However, when you go to the end he does his usual name check of countries, except this time there is no mention of Greenland. That is unusual. Maybe he just forgot about the biggest Nickel discovery in 100 years?

More Acquisitions results today. Rod has stepped down.

Summary. No acquisitions in 2023 but they burned 500k in cash achieving nothing.
Not his greatest year!
Oh to be in kobalds shoes. They can drill this summer and take majority of Disko. Or they can decide not to, not give a reason, watch the share price collapse further and buy the whole sh** show for less than the cost of drilling.
It was posited by others that K would never do this as it would be bad form and ruin their reputation. I think they would just say that they couldn’t work with us, or that they engaged with us for our boots on the ground operational capabilities in Greenland. We just sacked all them.
They are - or should be - continuously assessing their many prospects in a size of mineral deposit, v expected future values from those deposits v cost and risk of building mine. I suspect we have slipped down the future value side (unlike pure copper plays where most expectations are of shortage by 2030). Nickel futures anyone?
I am intrigued how Jay can wriggle out of this. I can’t see a way without introducing a third party to Disko.
I hope they are talking to us, at least for the more southerly bits. I doubt they are interested in Dundas, which I think Rob (rightly in my view) suggested should be merged with Thule Black Sands and taken forward (pref by a mineral sands expert).
My fear is of a few million coming in here and there that gets consumed by the gravy train at the end of which we have nothing.
No LW. Normal service resumed I would say.
If you want to get upset about what might have been, just listen to the young CEO of Amaroq and how they have gone about things in the last few years. It is quite a long interview but a good one. Lots of Greenland knowledge. Same MO as old JAY as in get one project delivering cash to unlock the others. Difference being they will be producing gold this year and have £50m plus in the bank. Oh yeah, he does what he says he is going to do, and curiously drilled the place thoroughly before the big money started to get spent.
Massive trust in Iceland in Scandi. JAY has none now. To think JAY started recruiting and training folk at Dundas. That will not be forgotten.

Ashton,
How close is Thunderstone to Amaroq interests?
There is only a holding page on Bluejay for it now.
Joshua did a piece (gold his thing).

Amaroq had $115m at end of q3 and just raised another £46m. Oversubscribed by 50% and at a placing price higher (yes you read correctly) than closing price. There is money if you have a coherent plan, communicate and do what you say you are going to do!!
Amiroq cashed up now. Wonder if Thunderstone of interest. They seem to focus in South Greenland and are getting on with stuff.
Interesting that they moved their listing and have had little trouble raising a huge sum to continue work on gold mine and unspecified exploration.
Fingers crossed.
The Cayman entity can only be found via Danish companies house where Nikkeli is registered.

It’s unclear what its purpose was/is. Rod and Eric were listed formerly, and are again.
Sandgrove link could be coincidence. There are thousands of companies at Ugland house. There are many at that PO. I don’t like coincidences but I came to a dead end.
It is the timing of these things that is interesting. Right before Rod announced potential split, weeks before he resigned.
