RE: Product on market ?18 Feb 2021 18:53
This is common among cannabis-oriented companies at the moment. Very few of them are making a sizeable (if any) profit now but it's all about the potential. A £100m market cap may seem high but remember that some of KNB's peers in the US and Canada are valued at more than $1bn or even $2bn, with P/E ratios as high as 150. The situation is not dissimilar to that of Bitcoin miners: their current valuations assume a growing and sustainable Bitcoin price.
The game is not about what the company sells now but how much it will be earning next year and after that. If KNB were making £40m per year already, the MCap would be closer to £500m, i.e. an SP of £2.
I believe this is going places, so I'm happy taking a risk at 42p. Unfortunately, my broker didn't allow trades in KNB yesterday, otherwise I'd have loaded up in the low twenties!
