Yes, they were dealing with the accident but they were eight or nine of them, the majority being tasked with making sure no-one approaches the scene. It's those ones who surely had an opportunity to tell people to put a mask on or simply disperse.

BTW, I didn't start the thread as a way of blasting either political party, so please no "plague on their families" or similar nonsense. (Of course, it is clear I'm not pro-Tory but who can be, seeing billions wasted on corrupt deals and then a smirking son-in-law of a billionaire arguing that cuts in spending on the poorest are inevitable?) But I think the way this pandemic has been mismanaged is absolutely awful.

Not sure people are sensible. A few days ago a small car accident happened nearby, and groups of people gathered quickly to gawp and chat in largish groups. Not a mask in sight, of course, except for the police. Surprisingly, the police didn't even bother telling the people off.

The right to acquire the additional interest implies a certain price. I think it'll be similar to the 5% 'at market value' at Havieron.

My take on the JV is that GH wants to work on Scally independently, and the JV allows the other prospects to be progressed in parallel; otherwise, they would have to wait until Scally is done/sold as GGP wouldn't have enough resources to develop them at the same time as Scally.

We may still see a placing to fund Scally exploration, although a JV with New rest or someone else is more likely here. But I think GH will want to go further with the exploration before negotiating a much better JV.

This is not GGP, unfortunately. Those guys at GGP take a different route: renegotiate the JV with Newcrest and secure a loan instead of a discounted placing.

However, it may still be early days for OMI, so placings are bound to happen once in a while.

You can look at it a bit differently: assume Newcrest pay the going market rate for the remainder; what is their total cost compared with the value of the whole deposit? Still a great deal for them.

If the Covid viruses were really smart, they'd be lobbying the government to ditch any support for drugs and instead focus on vaccines which give them (the viruses) a way out thanks to mutations. I'm sure Covid-19 would have got in touch with Handjob already... Oh, wait! That's exactly what has been happening here: BoJo and Handjob have been bribed by pesky viruses! I'm sure Mr Covid has met the Prime Minister on at least two occasions this year. No wonder there's no mention of SNG001 in the media.
