If you were a new investor and was reading this statement on the Avacta website you would think that they had already announced “IT WORKS”.

Avacta’s proprietary pre|CISION™ technology incorporates a substrate that is sensitive to cleavage by fibroblast activation protein (FAPa) which is highly upregulated in the tumour microenvironment of most solid tumours compared with healthy tissues. The pre|CISION™ substrate can be utilised in a drug conjugate linker or to generate FAPa-activated chemotherapy – that are only activated in the tumour.
When added to a chemotherapy, the pre|CISION™ substrate prevents the drug from entering cells and therefore renders it inert until the substrate is cleaved in the tumour microenvironment. Using this FAPa-activated approach, the systemic exposure to the chemotherapy is dramatically reduced, and the safety and therapeutic window of these powerful anti-cancer treatments is improved.

Doxorubicin (Adriamycin) is one of the most powerful chemotherapy drugs ever invented. It can kill cancer cells at every point in their life cycle, and it's used to treat a wide variety of cancers. Unfortunately, the drug can also damage heart cells, so a patient can't take it indefinitely.

This agent has earned its infamous nickname, the red devil, based on its bright red (Kool-Aid red) color, vesicant properties, and side-effect profile, including hair loss, myelosuppression, nausea and vomiting, mouth sores, and rare but serious cardiotoxicity.

Remember these patients where recruited because they where terminal.

Significant contract signed to manufacture lateral flow device components

York, U.K. 17 May 2022: Abingdon Health plc (AIM: ABDX), a leading international developer and manufacturer of high quality and effective rapid tests, announces that it has signed a significant contract with a European customer for the manufacture of lateral flow device (LFD) components for a COVID-19 antigen test.



The contract is for an initial period of 12 months with an option to extend and will commence with the primary production of the key biochemical-sprayed nitrocellulose component of the LFD. There is also an option to expand to other aspects of device manufacture including production and lamination of other membrane components and ultimately production of complete foiled devices.



The contract is with a European customer with the initial phase worth a minimum of £2.7m (based on minimum specified monthly order quantities and pricing at current GBP/USD exchange rates) for the first year. All raw materials required for production will be provided by the customer. There will be an initial technical transfer process, paid for by the customer, which is anticipated to take approximately two months.

I posted this a few weeks ago, stage 1a finishes 9th August but can finish earlier, Avacta will be keen to crack on with 1b so No need to hold results back after 9th August.
