Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
I agree . My observation would be, what a fine , good looking bunch of individuals my fellow Syme shareholders are , as if it is a prerequisite . This might explain why TW , Lex , Castle et al , sit on the sidelines throwing stones - they don’t pass mustard in the looks department.
Apologies for rambling , but I also felt more reassured with names and identities being offered .
Gives the deramping crew , something Syme does corner the market in , something more to shoot at . AZ is obviously all to aware of this , with his reference to TW , so it shows a degree of confidence on AZ’s part .
Good morning ,
This is of course a positive RNS , as there is a much more detailed outline of the first IM , with scale , named parties and a very tight timeline . To say otherwise is churlish , and you obviously have no interest in seeing Syme succeed. However the total fund available is small and it only emphasises the problem of Syme getting funding from more traditional routes , but it is a start .
Thanks again Peakhope.
My point is I question the risk / rewards balance as envisaged by the recent year end RNS . We are likely to see a global slowdown , and financial institutions are going to become more cautious. My point remains the 9 August 2021 RNS is 10 months old , where is the evidence of funders coming onboard ? Thanks again and all the best. I won’t trouble this board until after the shareholders meeting.
Similarly, DP cargoes, from my understanding, are seeking funds not offering them. And hedge funds are in my opinion, seeking returns way in excess of what we are potentially offering . I think we are a niche business, and should promote TF far more, and look to resource it via high net worth individuals. And promote WL to financial institutions as an additional service to their clients . Financial institutions take notice of proven track records, our’s to date, is not great .
Thank you for your reply Peakhope . I acknowledged earlier, that it is a different business model but they both use blockchain platforms . My problem remains, in a landscape of rising interest rates , and increasing financial hesitancy, where is there any evidence of financial institutions backing this type of investment , after all TF is a proven business but hardly awash with investor money . I am not denying that there is not huge demand from SME’s but they are not the ones taking the financial risk . You quote ICC , for example , but my understanding is they are not putting any money in , they are just encouraging the concept . Forgive me for sounding negative, but I have been here along time, run my own business , and perhaps more pragmatic than some . Better returns can be achieved elsewhere, the concept will have its day ,but I don’t think it is now. I hope I am wrong and will remain invested .
Thank you for your reply, but one of my concerns is , if we are reliant on just Venus , we are not going to get any real scale . And ‘We trade ‘while not an identical business model has struggled for funders over the same time frame as us .
Personally, I won't be buying any more shares until I see the delayed accounts and have a plausible explanation for the delay in IM. Having a potential long term investor is reassuring , but comes with heavy dilution . ATB
The more I think on what you have highlighted , ie Sace is only available to Italian registrated companys ,this separate entity is potentially game changing. My only other thought, should we not of been aware of this hurdle earlier ? How else were we going to IM in Italy ?
My only other observation is surely to improve are attraction to Funders for IM , an upscaled Tradeflow with a much larger Funds under Management , which has had no defaults, can only enhance our prospects. This fund has only increased by £50 million . Much more promotion is required in this and the company in general , as the level of interest in general has fallen away.
Personally,
I could do without the excitement and more meat to the bone .
An explanation to the delay in IM would be a good start ?
I am surprised no explanation has been forthcoming.

You do post some interesting research, but I do wish you would desist from using the ‘my good bubby ‘ nonsense , as every knows it is you , and it completely undermines your credibility. Please keep posting , just drop the act !
