Noble's South FI $ could buy DES?9 Aug 2012 23:49
Any potential bidder could play completely safe and wait for proving up Casper, Casper South and Beverley before considering making a bid for DES. But what if another sizeable oil Co gets DES first? On the FOGL RNS it says:-
"Noble's total investment over the next 3 years is currently estimated to range between $180 million and $230 million." This is for the Southern Falklands basin and no commercial oil or gas has even been found yet! BOR do have the condensate discovery but that is VERY unlikely to be commercially viable IMHO. The $230 million Noble money is £147,081,320 in todays money.
DES shares in existance 342,190,000.
£147,081,000 / 342,190,000 = 43p a share. So Noble could IMHO buy DES outright for that sort of money, getting DES part of Sea Lion plus the KNOWN oil at Casper, Casper south and Beverley which ok will need to be appraised via more wells. BUT AT LEAST we know there is oil there!
Why have Noble not bid for DES? Maybe they will..........
All IMHO.
