FYI when it says "Top viewed today" this means over 500 people have clicked to view that bike today.

With most competition closed down Halfords IMHO are in a fantastic position. People stuck at home want something to do, and also want exercise. Thus buying a bike that can be delivered to your door, or picked up from a halfords store seems perfect. Also those who are working still who want to avoid public transport could do worse that get a bike, or and electric bike to get in. Also what else do halford do? MOT's......... need these for car to be legal on road. Car parts - batteries, wiper blades etc... all needed for car to go or be legal.
I believe Halfords are turning over similar if not more cash than before the lock down. I would not be surprised if the bike build (in store) for collection are extremely busy to say the least. That is my opinion.

@ under $20 WTI oil price is, what, half that needed for shale oil Co's to even break even. MAD. The price can be lifted if OPEC, the USA and Russia are bold. I believe the benefit of a severe cut in oil supply outweighs the damage being done to the oil industry.

I have been monitoring the view figures on their web site and people are, at least, looking a lot, lot more at the bikes, electric bikes and electric scooters.
They do MOT's for vans and cars. This, presumably will be unaffected.
They sell car batteries, wipers, spark plugs etc... all stuff people still need.
I'm sure many people that used to travel say up to 12 miles to and from work by public transport will be changing to motor bikes, bikes and electric bikes to lessen the chance of getting the virus.
The Government is considering legalising electric scooters.
We are now in Summer, believe it or not.
I can imagine Halfords being as busy, or even busier now a lot of their competition is closed.
It makes sense to me.

Need a way to get to work without using public transport - buy a bike or an electric bike.
Something to do while at home - work on car, fix those things you never have time to fix.
Halfords is all about personal transport and that is what is needed at the moment.

courtesy of Government! Many thanks. Looks at "views today" figures next to each bike. Note "Top viewed today" means over 500 views. Before lockdown this was not happening to hardly any bikes until the afternoon. Now many are "top viewed" before 10 AM!

for bikes, electric bikes, scotters, electric scooters have rocketed. I believe the low was 55p ish around the lockdown announcement as it was assumed they would close the shops. They are open.
I believe they have a little or no competition as other cycle shops are closed. They sell loads of gear to do with PERSONAL TRANSPORT. To do with cars, vans, bikes, electric bikes, scooters, electric scooters (that the government intend to legalise with restrictions). So they are open, they sell the products people now want as going by public transport is to be avoided. Have a look at their site.
