I agree. The USA has a lot of people with "attitude" it seems to me shall we say and I fear that will have major grave consequences for millions of Americans. I really think millions as they have 320m or so to start.

COVID 19 the same as everyone else. Their economies will suffer both due to the cratering oil price and loss of other economic production due to the virus. With Brent @ $27, the price outlook frankly even worse and their economies about to be battered by the virus they are in DEEP trouble............. or will be in a few months. It is obvious. OPEC, Russia and frankly the USA need to come to a production agreement to stave off hardship for all their peoples.

price data obviously comes via software somewhere. I think we need to hack it and then move the oil price up (slowly so no-one notices). We may have to limit the increase below say $70 (and spread that over I'd say at least 3 weeks) as it might seem a bit odd what with over production of oil, 10m barrels a day less being used and most of the worlds population not verturing outside for fear of a lethal virus.

number of virus before our bodies get ill. Let's assume it's 1000. The question then is how does a human body deal with 999 with no issue, but 1000 makes us ill. My point being it seems to suggest the human body has some sort of first line of defence that can deal with......... even a virus that is new to the human species as long as there are noy "too many". So if the body can kill a "small" amount of virus why can't it kill a large amount of virus? Something is clearly wrong here. Can anyone explain this oddity?

Crazy? If All OPEC, Russia and America agree, and some sort of monitoring is put in place it could be done, could it not? So a Worldwide minimum price of $35 per barrel fror Brent and $30 for WTI.

As I understand it ARCM were the only lender to object to the purchase of the BP and Dana North sea assets.
Also the other had confirmed (I assume in writing) before the virus that they wanted it to go ahead.
It seems to me that the state of the oil market shoul NOT be taken into consideration and presumably that is the case. About 85% of the lenders were happy with the deal so I expect PMO to win.
I then expect (and would be GOBSMACKED and LIVID if not the case) the deal to be put on hold for the forseeable. Thus PMO would have extended credit (yipee!) but be exactly where they were before the deal, with excellent oil fields and prospects.
Makes sense to me.

These are exceptional circumstances. OPEC, Russia and the USA should cut production in order to suppport the oil industry or loads of people will lose their jobs. If they aim for Brent $40 it sould seem sensible. Ifr they do not, also when we get a vaccine there will not be enough oil production leading to shortages of pertrol, plastics and chemicals that other industries need to function.

cut I would guess 3m barrels a day, and I can't see that happening, at least yet. I'm wondering if Saudi and Russia are waiting for x amount of shale oil to vanish from the market before they do a cut? Unfortunately that may be a few months away. I suppose if Iran attacked Saudi oil production again it would have a temporary effect. Clutching at straws here frankly! On the good side the outlook for the oil price looks so bleak that production of expensive shale oil must be being slashed. Things can change quickly with the oil price as we know but it is difficult to see Brent above $40 in the next 2 months. In fact $20 to $30 seems more likely.
