Airlines had almost no planes in the air a few months ago and what do we have now in the World? A few more?? I would have thought Rolls will be extremely busy as a lot of aircraft that have not flown for months have to have a lot of work done before they can fly again.

India imports a huge amout of oil, and I think a lot of this is paid for by the Government. A super tanker full of oil bound for India I think would be another good target for Carin to sue. As it says above they are looking at this too.

have been borrowed against? If they have then whoever lend the money is going to want their money back, or other assetts signed over to cover the loan. It's looking like at least some more assteet are going to get frozen. What about the Air Indian case in the next few weeks? Do Air Indian owe any money to investors other than the Indian Government? Things look to be getting tircky for the Indian side.

The situation is Cairn have thus far frozen (I presume this means the Indian Government cannot sell off unless they win the case on 1st September) building assetts in Paris. That was just one of various legal actions by Cairn against the Indian Government that are happening over the coming weeks. This is extremely bad publicity for the Indian Government and is all over the press/internet in India, the UK, USA. Indeed the entire World. It's hardly going to encourage any foreign investors! It's easy to see Cairn won the Supreme court case in India and then won the arbitration hearing that took 5 years. Incredibly one of the adjudicators was nominated by the Indian Government and voted against them!!!! So not paying up is sending out a completely alarming message to any foreign investor who was previously relying on International Arbitration as a last means of getting justice in India.
Presumably the other cases will be hitting the headlines soon, including the one in the USA that is tageting Air India and it's assetts. I think that one is due in court in the next few weeks!! Maybe the Indian Government is willing to have it's international reputation as a safe place for Companies to invest damaged by what looks likely to be a slew of court rulings freezing various assets around the World I suppose we will soon find out. It seems to me they should have done the decent thing and paid Cairn the COMPENSATION as soon as they lost the International arbitration hearding. I believe the "normal" behaviour of any Country who loses International Arbitration is to follow the court ruling. Alarmingly not the case for India!

for a few weeks (and let's face it the oil price is just where Saudi want it) I'm thinking we will top $80. Of course the threat of OPEC news with a negative oil price outcome is and will be hanging over the market. Trying to guess the future may not be what most in the market do? maybe Brent will go $85 before OPEC pull the plug?? But with the oil DRAWS of late will turning the taps on more in a few months affect the oil price over the next month or so. Maybe not. Maybe we are heading for $85 or even $90 a barrrel Brent crude?? My gut feeling is we will see $80 Brent, no matter what OPEC do.

The market has seen how stubborn Modi's Goverbnment is (we call it cutting your nose off to spite your face). To wait until Indian Government assets are frozen in France before sorting this out is astonishing. I think the Air India case in the USA is withing the next few weeks! They seem to have a we will not pay no matter what attitude. I wonder if the Indian people realise the legal costs are something like 500 million dollars? They have to pay this too now they have dragged it out for is it 7 years? I think Modi is and will get a whole load of negative publicity about this in India. It seems they have added half a billion dollars in legal costs to the bill. No doubt the opposition will be making everyone in India aware of this!!!!

Their behaviousr has been shocking. They lost at their own Supreme Court, then after 5 years duration they lost International arbitration. At that point they should have done the decent thing and paid the full bill. The arguments have been heard both by the supreme court and International arbitration. End of.............. or it should have been. Not paying after these two legal decisions is absolutely disgraceful in my opinion. No doubt this has sent shockwaves through the international investment communities throughout the World. Is it safe to Invest in India? I know what my answer would be.

when England are in the Euro final and ITV shares DROP. Just shows how bonkers the markets can be sometimes. I mean look at BP. I see it's up a tad today. Rumour was they sold oil but judging by the sp performance of late they must have moved into something else. I mean Brent crude is $74.66, so at levela last seen in 2018. But what do I know!!??

I believe if the indian Government pay the full $1.7 Billion a ball park sp level would be £3.80p. At the moment the ask is £1.53p.

out at 3:30 our time. Last night the API report in USA was yet another DRAW, this time 7.9 million barrels. The week before was similar I think. Obviously it's likely the EIA report will be a draw as well, I should think 5 to 9 million barrels. It will be interesting whet the oil price does as this UAE/Saudi row has clearly screwed up normality IMHO. IMHO Brent should be North of $75 now all things considered. I don't think Saudi will be in any rush to sort the row out as $74 ish is just about where they really want the price to be as I understand it!
