to sell oil Co. shares I think needs their head examined.
There is NO REASON at the moment for the price of oil to go down.
It's $73.76 now and it's likely to be similar next week, the weeks after that etc. etc.
As that is what oil Co's sell (you know, the oil that has been over $60 for 5 months) one would think all oil Companies are doing rather well. Bargain oil Co. shares at the moment as far as I am concerned.

Brent @ $72.73 when just a few days ago it was $76, OPEC dispute seems to be over etc..... Gawd only knows. Do these buyers get paid real money themselves?

I mean the sp goes down with Brent (I presume) but a load of our oil is hedged @ $61 and the market knows that (I presume?).
Next week I think we will get yet more USA oil draws stated in the API and EIA reports, so presumably Brent will return to $75 yet again then??

Oil shares went down when oil went UP and now oil has gone down from $76 to $73.88 anyone would think the World is going to end. Si oil shares go down when oil price goes up and down when oil price goes down.
I've thought for some time that Airline's are in big trouble. I don't think the same for Cruise line Co's at all. Assuming all the crew are tested properly before they board, are checked to make sure they are double vaccinated as well then we should have a clean ship. Then same for passengers all should be ok. Any instance of the bug and whoever can self isolate in a cabin. As all others would be vaccinated it's unlikely to spread, at all. Seems simple enough. Of course you need to be very strict with checking the test and vaccination proof as no doubt some cretins will try to get on board with fake iones. I think the Government should bring in a law so you get a prison sentence for using fake documents etc..

What does not make sense is why BP's sp started today at £3.04.
I reckon the board willl respond to the sp drop by uincreasing the divi. I think they have been raking it in since last Feb when Brent got back to $60.

argument seems to have been resolved, no chance UAE leaving OPEC as was feared. I think the Oil price will stabilise as there is no obvious reason for it not to. Easy to forget the EIA reports of oil stocks falling by 7m of so barrells every week in the USA. How strange the market is, or mad.
The oil price is what counts for oil Companies, strangeky enough and it's obvious to anyone the price will be high enough for just ablout any oil company to make HUGE profits for the forseeable future.
