Actually it looks like the buybacks have not started yet (no RNS's to confirm how many etc at close of play Thursday or Friday), which is good as the sp improved Friday to 205p.
Personally I would not be surprised to see the sp over £2.20 again fairly soon.

the following day to say what shares were bought back for cancellation.
From the RNS:-
" The Company will announce any market repurchase of Ordinary Shares no later than 7:30 a.m. on the business day following the calendar day on which the repurchase occurred. ".
So no shares were purchased yesterday...................
Hopefully the buybacks will make a considereble difference as the current £2.00 a share is disapponting cionsidering the sp was £2.29 before the tender offer result.

Although good for the future, as in several years time on wonders quite what our Government inten to do to address the problems the war in Ukraine is and will cause over the next say 5 years???
My view is un mothball coal fired stations for use until other forms come on line. Even if we build a few new ones.
Coal is reliable and they scoop it off the surface in Australia so fairly cheap.
As alternatives come on line they can be re-mothballed until the bext crisis!
