Reality check. Hello? The sp is 2.05p, it's there in black and white. You are in cloud cuckoo land if you think an offer is going to come in above 8p a share. I think we would be lucky to get 6p. Any offer may start at 5p. The Company can be bought out at any time. No major shareholders to block. they can certainly have mine for 6p as things stand, getting on for 1m. I can't believe how green some investors are. Say a bid comes in @ 6p. What you going to do? Almost certainly that will get the 50% they would need to take control. Likely they would get the 90% to force everyone to sell the lot. As for the Directors they have next to no shares so they can't do anything either. If it happens don't say you were not warned. A sitting duck for a takeover if ever there was one.

If a bid is made at say 6p a share, that is what you would get for each one of your shares assuming you accept the offer. If the offeror gets more than 50% of the shares they control the Company. If they can get over 90% they can force the rest to sell so they get 100% and full control. So if over 90% agree the offer you have no choice but to sell. The only way you might get more than the original offer price is if another higher bid appears from another Company. At the moment if a bid comes in for Genedrive @ say 6p a share it is highly unlikely you would get more than that and the Company would get bought out IMHO.

Obviously if the average price you paid for your shares is 10p (say you bought 10,000 shares @ 10p = £1000) you would lose 4p for every share you have (10p - 6p = 4p). A £400 loss on your £1000.

The situation with Genedrive Plc as it stands is truly shocking. The only Director with a meaningful amount of shares is Ian Gilham, and he only has 2,280,961 (0.42%).

The Company is on track for the roll out of both machines over the entire NHS. Add to that the whole of Europe and on FDA approval the entire United States. You could not make it up! Genedrive simply must be being eyed as a takeover target. Not only would it be cheap, it would be easy as there are no major share holders. Astonishing. Absolutely astonishing.

I have more than Chris Yates amount myself. Not far off Gino in fact. Does Gino know that GDR could get taken over as there are no major share holders? I wonder if he has even thought about losing GDR and not getting much compensation as he has so few shares? Same for the other Directors.

As far as I am aware a bidder does not have to already own a certain percentage of the shares. Presumably they should have some. However a bid could just be an RNS to say a bidding Company is willing to pay existing shareholders x for their shares. The bidding Company obviously will have been vetted to make sure they have the cash and are a legitimate bidder. I assume that is where the RNS (regulatory announcement process) will have been applied. Any bidder is likely to be another Plc anyway. In GDR's case almost certainly a small, medium or large pharma Plc. Likely a USA one.

Institutional investor.". Are these comments for real? They have no institutional investors, unless one has loaded up in the last 10 days (over 3% they need to do RNS to delare interest, a TR-1). There have been no TR-1's (notification of major holdings). This is ***NOT good*** as without a couple of major share holders a low ball bid ***can't be blocked***. That is why I think this is exactly what is likely to happen. Even a bid @ 5p might get Genedrive Plc. Tell me why I am wrong? You could not make up this situation. 2 machines that will, I'm sure be rolled out throughout the UK's NHS. To top that ditto for the USA market on FDA approval. It will happen. Total and utter madness and I think the directors do not understand the situation.

Consider the roll outs of both machines in the whole NHS? And the the potential roll our of both machines in the entire USA after FDA approval. Get real. You are in cloud cuckoo land. Genedrive have 2 fantastic products on the verge of making a fortune. A bid is highly likely. Very, very likely considering they have no major investors. The Directors will lose out too. They are making a massive mistake IMHO.

IMHO that would be it. If your average is above the bid level, unless another bidder turns up that would be it. You lose and there is nothing you can do about it. I don't think some investors have a clue, frankly. Most of the Directors too at Genedrive. They hold so few shres it is a complete joke. The only one that has even a small % is the Chairman. You'd have thought he would have more like 8%, but no. They are a sitting duck. It's quite unbelievable.

To come. Large World or USA Pharma will likely pay 6p a share and goodbye Genedrive. No one could stop this, other than a counter bidder. Directors and old investors to lose out massively. Very sad outcome likely for them.

25-30% premium maybe true for non-AIM but not here. 30% premium the current sp would NOT, I mean NO WAY ON EARTH bag Genedrive Plc. No chance. None. The sp would simply go North of say the 30% (2.55p)...... to, I would guess, 4p. For a start. The bidder would either withdraw the offer or increase it. They might try 4.5p. If they want Genedrive they will need to bid 5p minimum IMHO. 6p I would think would definitely bag Genedrive Plc. No-one to block a bid don’t forget. Really strange case indeed!

6p a share would bag Genedrive plc and no one could stop that, well apart from a counter bid form another Company. Cost, about £32,000,000. Peanuts to a big pharma. Then what would they have? Think about it. The market cap here is UNDER £10m................................ LUDICROUS.

Only the Chairman and he has nowhere near enough to stop a bid. The whole thing is mad. It is obvious to me that a bidder could offer even 5p a share (£27,000,000) and possibly get control of Genedrive. You think most shareholders would NOT take the money? Of course they would with the sp @ 1.925p. The other Directors are taking a MASSIVE risk not holding more shares. They may lose out BIGTIME. Only themselves to blame.

If a so-called hostile bid appears the Directors who have not got many shares will be devastated.

Is highly unlikely to make a profit on these for years. The only way would be to average down (i.e. buy some more at 2p ish) and wait for the bid, or bid rumour. I think anyone's average needs to certainly be below 3p. If a bid comes in and you still lose you have been warned! I don't believe a bid will be over 10p a share. No way. Up to you what you do of course. Do your own research.
