Test machines are going to open up a huge market for them I think. Test your baby to see if it won't have a bad reacation to the commonly used aminoglycoside antibiotic (and go stone deaf)! Test your family to make sure the commonly used blood thinner administered after a stroke actually WILL work!!!! Massive potential here.

Also what have Boots to lose? I would have thought Genedrive would do them a deal. Get say 100 machines installed at Boots bigger branches. They have over 3000 by the way. Then advertise and see how it goes............. What parent would not pay to have the test done?? Just a cheek swab sample needed!

If you only need a cheek swab sample, I would have thought parents would be happy to test their newborn with the Genedrive® MT-RNR1 ID Kit. So, take the swab sample to a local chemist (who have the machine). Get the baby tested.! If that is what it would take to find out if your baby might go deaf if it receives that antibiotic, I'm sure it would happen.

Maybe Genedrive should approach Boots to see if they are interested installing some machines at the bigger branches?

I say again:-

Obviously can't check whether the babies won't have a bad reaction to the antibiotic possibly rendering the baby completely deaf. This simply must be a huge worry for the staff in those hospital units. Also, obviously it will be of huge concern to the parents. The Hospitals can choose to use the Genedrive® MT-RNR1 ID Kit but must finance the use as I understand it. Pretty obvious what is going to happen if you ask me.

- How can the managers of the neonatal units NOT act to remove the risk?

- When the next baby loses it's hearing (it will happen) because the Genedrive test was not available how will the doctors and nurses feel? How do you tell a parent their baby is deaf because this neonatal ward has not got a Genedrive® MT-RNR1 ID Kit, but other neonatal units elsewhere in the Country do?

And it has been all day. In fact the bid has not changed either at 10.5p. This means sites like LSE will put all the trades in the "sell" column, when they are clearly not all sells as all the rades are below the mid price (when the MM's have pushed the artificial ask through the roof. They can do this with the ask, but not the bid. The bid is the minimum price you will get and so can'y be played with. If they were the sp would be down, and quite a bit at that.

Yesterdays reported 457,200 trade. It was a delayed trade publication so the trade could have actually happened several days ago. If you look at the chart for the last 7 days it seems somewhat strange the sp jumped up on 6th December from around 10p to over 11p. If £48,000 trades make the sp go down as you say then we need some more of them.

Hmm. Some people might say the long time shareholders (mugs?) have lost a fortune paying Genedrive Plc do develop the technology, and take it very near to success, while Ian has watched the shareholders pay the bills.......... And in fact taken a salary...... LOL! Maybe he will buy Genedrive at some point over the next 9 months, knowing shareholders have helped him out to the tune of $50 million? He is not daft. Likely the long term shareholders invested way too early.
