Generally request of debt repayment are compulsory to be issued, for the debtor to eventually demonstrate they fulfilled all the formal and legal step to recover their debt. so issue of the repayment request is done by the debtor to be on the safe side whether or not or if/when the debtor will actually proceed to enforce it... This seems the case here

Yes, thanks, that's exactly the type of practical action I am seriously looking for... I do like risk - but just in more diversified stocks and not all in one stock. Now, I only need to find a stock or two with a potential uprise of 40-50%... which I can run together with POG - - any tips warmly welcome!

Thanks for your reply. I do entirely agree with you... It's just that for the first time I find with 50% of my whole portfolio in a single stock and I hope never again, no matter how good the stock. I just too much at stake - so I fully sympathise with our colleague Nathan90 in a similar situation

I mean, I know I could just just sell 40% and keep my original 10%.... But such an easy solution does not solve why main problem which is cutting 40% of the holding - WITHOUT a 50% loss on it. Of course I would not mind a reasonable loss - of 10-20%

Thanks to all the repliers... Very instructive to know how other LT investors would potentially deal with a situation like mine... My original intent was long term, and I would have no problems now if I had something like 10% of my portfolio - but I have made the HUGE mistake is to pour into 50% of my portfolio into POG - so really the problem is how should I go about cutting this down to about 10%

Any commodity, gold included, loses value whenever there are restrictions to its trading... and if a commodity becomes hard to trade or less easy to trade, usually it's natural to find substitutes for it - and once substitutes are found the original might well be jettisoned for good... So- there is danger here for gold

@belgrano... your analysis of Ukraine is a reasonable one... but Ukraine is fighting a Nato proxy war... Yes, Russia might win or achieve its objectives somewhat, but NATO will be the overall winner.... The wheels of history have been set in motion for Russia's permanent decline both militarily and economically - and there is no Russian intelligentsia skilled enough to reverse it.
