I think nationalisation is a bigger danger here than abandonment. It would not be the first time that a country sit back, wait for the hard work to be done by orhers, then turn around and nationalise the asset. Sue canal comes to mind.

Sorry TheItalian, I do not believe in the investment equivalent of my wi-l-ly is bigger than yours, ie my investment is bigger than yours. That is irrelevant. Its enough for all to know that I am invested. I guess I am from the old school who believe that an effective leader get things done an that their achievements reflects positively on his/her company and its SP. I don't believe in waiting for tides. A good leader make events occur, rather than being the victim of events. Tim Cook, Elon Mask are examples of leaders who get things done and the SP of their respective companies reflects their track record of achievements. Attending calls and holding webinars doesn't cut it for me.

So are you OK with the SP falling from 40p to 13p TheItalian? I am not seeing what Scott is doing which has had a beneficial impact on the SP since he became CEO. Sure, DC caused the fall, but Scott hasn't taken any actions to address it. It would appear that he is comfortable seeing the SP in free falling.

Instead of without failure being critical of other folks posts, post something original of your own which is thoughtful and which would likely stimulate debate. Are you not capable of original thought?

It would appear that Scott's approach is not to tell us anything, thereby sparing us the disappointment when the stated dates are missed. Better to have us guessing than having us expectant. It's disappointing because he specifically gave the impression that he would be implementing change when compared to previous management. The Ecuadorians mentioned 2025, we need to be careful they don't nationalise solg should we follow our form of never meeting target dates.

I agree with Bozi's point "if the company is in significant discussions then market should be made aware". That is what I would love to hear because it would boost the SP. That said, it would be good to have a balanced dialogue which the drawn out SR and talk of flipping rocks isn't helping to stimulate. As more of a reader than a poster, I appreciate reading Fort's posts because they offer food for thought instead of the constant negatives from certain posters.

Why couldn't Scott go after the various deliverables while having outcomes which impact the SP positively? I really don't like his attitude of not caring about the SP. It's obvious that the market doesn't value anything which he has achieved so far otherwise the SP would be in a better shape. He has a responsibility to add shareholders value on an ongoing basis. The SP is the only means by which we can realise value from owning solg shares, and him ignoring that fact is a dereliction of his fiduciary duty to us. None of us were complaining last year when the SP was at 40p and there were folks buying going on. Indeed, I recall the excitement on this BB at the time. So clearly the SP has a tremendous psychological value to PIs. He ignore that at his peril. All we have now are folks guessing because we don't know what is going on.

It will be even more disruptive if we wait another 1 to 2 years, then get rid of Scott and will then have to start all over again. The only solace here is that the Ecuadorians mentioned 2025, so they must believe something will happen before then. Hopefully it will not be another hasta mañana with can firmly kicked down the road.

Enough is enough. This company has become a lifestyle company with disappearing millions. They came, saw the gravy and all want their share. Scott is no different except he spoke too soon before he got a good picture of the gravy flowing in the trough. Snout firmly in, forget about the long suffering PIs. My no vote will count to break a tie. Even Warren Irwin has become disillusioned and stated that he is not seeing the demand to match the copper deficit mantra. Not long to go for the AGM.

Scott came, made comments which led us to believe he is the one who will finally deliver. So far all he has achieved are talks and a webinar. At this point if BHP could get things moving and I end up with a profit, I am gone. Almost a year since Fast and smart, and now they have exceeded slow and stupid.

I don't see the point in us voting for Scott if he fails to deliver and thereby being no different than his predecessors. I am not looking forward to another year or 2 watching the SP being decimated while Scott jets between Canada and Ecuador in business class. I have no problem with waiting for a new person to actually get things done rather than endure a prolonged period of all talk with no outcomes from Scott. In the end we may well end up with someone new after years of no change with Scott and will then have to allow his successor time to get up to speed. No, Scott will not get my vote if we are still left to guessing by the next AGM.

But we cannot allow Scott and the others to take us for granted. It should be a 2 way street. Right now it's 1 way. They are taking fat salaries while we are left in the dark with an opened SR, decimated SP, with no certainty when or if things will change. I believe that rewards should be earned and I haven't seen what he has done to warrant our unwavering support. Just endless talk, and talk about rocks.

DBW, perhaps Ship could pass on the message to solg during their next call that they need to throw us a bone, otherwise we will be siding with BHP at the next AGM.

Fed up of hearing Scott banging on about the rocks, while ignoring the fact that the SP is at rock bottom. So disappointed with his lack of concern for the SP and him not doing anything to turn it around.

Good grief! March 2024! It doesn't look as if Scott plans to sell this company any time soon. At this rate, we will still be here come 2026 arguing over whether co2 levels can be reduced by producing more fizzy drinks. Totally agree. Scott has been a total disappointment. Critical of previous management and then he became the very thing he criticised. For sure a lot of us didn't think solg would be around for another AGM.

From the look of things, it will be 2024 before we see action. I was expect release of his phased plan by now. More snail pace at solg.
