I just watched a Netflix series entitled Territory. It is set in Northern Australia. It's about the Lawson family who owns the world's largest cattle station there.

I was impressed with the scenery. Beautiful country. I must visit one day before solg SP sends me to an early grave.

Agreed Add. I wonder why Solg management felt that they could get a bid without completing the FS? We have done enough studies, or words to that effect. Lots of humble pie being eaten at Solg towers.

Add, I am an Electronic Engineer, not a CEO. I don't think that I am ceo material, and I don't have all the answers. Scott is being paid to be a ceo and isn't doing a good job being one.

The SP could be helped if he:

-Stop the farce he is calling an SR.

-Monetise the regional concessions. I have lost track of how long since we read that they were going to keep the important ones and do something with the rest. So far, nothing.

-Shake the tree harder with the Chinese and the Arabs. Of course I don't know what is going on behind the scenes. However, if he was doing something in that regard, we would have heard by now. All talk and no outcome. He isn't doing anything another more capable ceo can't do.

Like I said, not long to go to the agm. Christmas lights already going up in my neighbourhood😆

There are poor people in every community. Decent, law abiding people who work hard to support their families without resorting to criminality.

Add, PBOW, I don't know what will happen at the upcoming AGM regarding Scott. All I know is that every BB I visit, retail investors are fed up with him. We might not have enough votes, but BHP and Newmont might also be feeling the same as us who are fed up with the current SP and the lack of positive outcomes to support it. I would imagine that NM can't be too happy either if he was relying on a sale being completed in time to allow him to pay off his debt. We will see, not long to wait.

Are you guys arguing that Solg doesn't have a succession plan in the event, God forbid, something unfortunate happens to Scott? No one is irreplaceable. Anyone of us not meeting our KPIs would be shown the door at our day jobs. I have never heard a boss said oh, let's keep this useless person because we can't find a replacement!!

As far as I am concerned, he isn't delivering for retail investors and should be replaced with some one more capable. Not long to go when we will all gave the chance to vote.

Add, if we have to wait another 2 to 4 yrs, then a change is required. We will have plenty time for stabilisation. Replacing this useless ceo with a more capable one will realise the shareholders value which Scott has failed to deliver thus far.

One good thing coming from the current mess is that we will no longer have people predicting a bid imminently.

For once I agree with Mad Jack, Scott The Rocks Caldwell must go. He banged on about shareholders value, but I haven't seen that value being looked after. Called me old fashioned, but the primary vehicle for returning value to shareholders is via the SP. A ceo who does nothing to defend the SP doesn't deserve our support. He had long enough to show his mettle. Now we are being told we will need to wait until 2026-2028. No guarantee that he will deliver then especially if we regard past behaviour as an indicator of future behaviour. That never-ending SR really gets on my last nerve!

Totally agree with you Ortherncopper. This useless lot needs to go. If we have to wait another 4 years, then we have time for a change and to achieve stability. We can't carry on like this for 4 more years.

I am perplexed. With the exception of Quady, everyone expected a bid by now with Fort even predicting that we wouldn't see out 2023 as solg because we would be owned by a major. How could all the knowledgeable, experienced investors called it so wrong?

Here we are now looking at another 2 to 4 years wait. The 6 to 7 years mentioned in the video would have a starting point after all the permits are in in yes?

Personally, I think that Add's argument of keeping the current lot for stability isn't going to fly because if we have to wait around for another 2 to 4 yrs with a decimated SP, we might as well vote for change!

Cheers Add, agreed that they have learnt that derisking is the way forward. Pity they didn't settle in to their respective roles before spouting off about fast and smart, and culture of non-performance.
