Do you remember the Crux Investor video from years ago that was not well received here? Now, it looks very accurate.

I did ask the ai about Twiggy. Response, unlikely. Too far from home, and not close enough to production.

Apart from Crux, no one ever questioned the value of the assets. Recently the CEO talked about unlocking value with Tandy. We saw no reason to believe that 28p is the best we would get for a tier 1 top 10 asset. Mather falling out with BHP caused problems.

I am getting a nasty feeling about all this. Fort has always warned about what's happening now. Tank the SP, insiders load up and walk away with profits even at a low price. He has consistently stated this possibility.

I hate to think that Dan, Scott and Bob contrived this and Scott 30c was a Freudian slip of their real intention.

I won't paste the email which I mentioned, but I will confirm that it was from Bob at Maxit. He indicated that with BHP and Newmont siding with Jiangxi, the game is over. I am inclined to believe him. I think Nick had his arm twisted to accept this.

The ai said that the BOD had to tell us of the 28p and that the minded comment leave them wiggle room should a 3rd party bid comes. The only other thing that can stop the 28p are China ODI delay/rejection, low chance. Or Jiangxi increasing their offer to 32p, max 35p to placate retail investors because of the value of the assets and to smooth the process. Another option is if the BOD could sell off the assets by block, or restrict the 28p to ENSA. I am resigned to the fact that it's a done deal as much as I hope Nick can get an auction going.

I don't recall reading a post from NAL or Stack stating a low ball bid is the only outcome. So, where is the I told you so?

I did ask the ai about Gina, and the response was unlikely because she prefers assets closer to production. I did not ask whether should be tempted by Tandy early cash flow promise. So who knows.

1 thing to consider, what will happen if for some reason the Chinese authorities delay granting the ODI approval(low chance of this because Beijing will support their boys)?

Apparently, solg would have gone bankrupt in 2022 were it not for the placement with Jiangxi. Who knows what else was pledged for that lifeline.

The only remaining chance we have is if enough of us vote NO to get the 25% blocking vote. So, let's all vote no when the time come.

But I can tell that was what I was told that BHP and Newmont deciding to support Jiangxi, then game over. I don't think the person would have said that to me if they were aware of a 3rd party bid being contemplated. Of course, that doesn't rule out an unexpected 3rd party bid. I can say that the person is just as upset and disappointed by the turn of events as we all are. Capital wasted being stuck for years when it could have been deployed elsewhere more successfully. So, reading that, I am inclined to think that 28p is the done deal although a part of me wish that a 3rd party will move to deny the Chinese of their prize. Them using that short was a dirty move to suppress the SP.

The BOD capitulated because once BHP & Newmont decided to support Jiangxi, game over.

Mather is to blame here at the end of the day. He brought those 2 in, then set about destroying the relationship between Solg and them to the point that I think they are now getting payback. If 2 majors who invested more than 28p have decided to walk, I can't see others bidding. Scott The Rocks Caldwell came and instead of repairing the relationship with BHP, he kept going on about how they voted against him. Save your money and don't waste your time going to the AGM unless you are already in that town.
