After two quick and positive reports from the BOD this now looks as though it has consolidated. I was particularly pleased to note the reference to pre agreed fixed gas price agreements. Come on COP lets now push through 13p again

Much busier since yeterdays RNS. Although some sells, most are buys and a couple at £50k. The RNS seems to be warmly accepted and Westouse have reiterated at 29p today. Interesting the we have not heard from the sole broker/ advisers for a while ? Another indication that something is pending ?

I agree we, it must be under the radar. This additional information re increased reserves will only enhance any potential take over bid. Still no CEO news. Why recruit a CEO if the company are in sale or merger negotiations ?

Good point but the disparity of prices is massive and they keep reiterating. Personally I believe that the share has been oversold and we will start to see a re rate and share increase once the Canada operation comes back into production. I do not have a huge investment here and by averaging down have an investment price of 5.5p so hoping for a decent return and happy to hold long term.

I dont know what planet that they are on but if W are only partly right we might be in for a re rate soon. I refer to my post of 1st May after exchanging e. mails with the Finance Director. A long and hopefully very profitable hold here.

Lots of buy and sells today. Price seems to be holding up with support of Oil and to a lesser degree, Gas prices. However the Company must understand that without the expected news, the share price will eventually level and fall. In the meantime the brokers remain bullish. Do they know something ?

You and I have remained stoic Ramerci and even Stockdale seems to be a bit more optimistic now. However,the test will come if oil recovery reverses in the short term and without any positive RNS re Gas production, new CEO or takeover. The buys however are still driving performance of the share price towards 13p.

I agree. This share will start to move north before too long. I e.mailed Nick Morgan the Finance Director who replied that he believed the share price will start to recover in a couple of months when the first 2 wells in Canada come back to production. This share has been oversold and the recent oil price recovery, which has improved the perfromance of other small O&G companies, has yet to with NOP.

We are speculating about M&A, although I do believe that this may be in process bacause a) delay in announcing new CEO and b) lack of director share purchases. I dont believe the BOD need to make any announcements until an offer is on the table. Infact any interested buyer will insist on confidentiality during due dilligence. If I am wrong and a new CEO appointment is announced, the share price will react positively if his or her credentials excite the MMs.

Looks as though the tide may have turned with a more positive sentiment even without any news. Although transactions small, buys continue to dominate and have done for a week or so now. Still no director buys, even when the share price was sub 9p. Lets hope that they are precluded.

Well Stockdale there have been some sells but generally speaking the buys are greater and seem to be in clusters. Three 50000 buys in quick succession both today and yesterday. Earlier in the week 2 x 400000 buys. Simarlar pattern last week too. Someone loading up.

Some how I dont think Genel will buy COP however, heres hoping. The key thing here is that M&A activity is on the rise and Circle is a great opportunity for a larger company who wants to extend its operations in Egypt or Morocco. Re - The management issues referred to on previous posts, I maintain my confidence in the BOD although like you all, I am frustrated with the lack of news. NO NEWS GOOD NEWS ?

I dont believe that currently "bad management" is the issue. I think that our Chairman is competent with an excellent M&A record and his recent recruitment of new board members, strenghtened the BOD further. The share price seems to have consolidated around 11p for the time being and most of the selling has been "smaller values" whereas there seems to be a pattern of larger purchases, albeit less frequent. The next RNS will be the game changer as it should either refer to possible merger talks or announce the new CEO. If its the latter, we will know that M&A is not immenant.

7 months not too unreasonable. Thats of course assuming that they started negotiations last year. I think is more than likely that the resignation announcement of Prof Green earlier in the year was a result of initial M&A talks. Someone knows something. Another two big buys yesterday following a pattern most trading days. By the way Stockdale did you notice that most the recorded sells yesterday were probably in fact buys ! Ramerci, your thoughts ?

Although mostly sells yesterday the volume was low. The two 150k share buys near the end of trading made up for the sells. Stake building by someone ?

I have just checked the "significant shareholder" register again but its still unchanged from the data on 7th March. Interesting enough apart from the frozen Libya Oil assets (17.67%) only 26% listed between Institutional Investors with over 3% holding. I also know that Cavendish hold a position here which is presumably under 3%. Anyway, a serious offer over say 25p would certainly be attractive to me.

The longer there is no news re the CEO the more I thinks that M&A is pending. Prof Green now gone, although on payroll till Oct, and the Chairman running the show. Still no director share purchases and none when under 10p. As Ramerci suggests, they may be precluded. A quiet trading day so far but hopefully will continue short steps north.

Well the two 1 mill buys were the same buyer. Perhaps one of the Intitutional investors increasing ? May see an RNS to that a effect if they have gone over a certain % ?

Hi all. Once again a few buys this morning and I am sure you noticed the two 1 millon share purchases at 11p yesterday plus the later half mill at 10.75p. Some news around the corner I hope.
