One of the statements made is that the reorganisation of the licences related to a potential commercial transaction - this differs to what was reported in the media in Zambia.
I agree some things will have been beyond the control of the BoD and timelines always have a tendency to slip. However, I think it is worth investors listening to it as it may help put perspective in some comments that may be made tomorrow.
An RNS may put some weight behind any significant statements likely to be made.

I think it is well worth listening to last May's investor call and considering what expectations were set and what was delivered.

I don't think anyone is questioning that exploration is a gamble with the chances of significant succession slim. I think the debate here is whether you are taking a gamble in assuming you have been given all material information.

I agree with your rationale. However, I don't think shareholders or regulators would deem that an acceptable reason for delaying bad news.

For delaying good news
1) To get an IPO on Molopo Farms off on the back of good news.
2) We haven't had an RNS to state the number of options Mr Grist is to get. I assume that means Kav are close to or above the 10% limit for exec options. I assume issuing the additional shares for Molopo Farms also gives them additional headroom for Exec options. If good news causes the SP to rise much above 5p then the option issue looks like a bad deal for shareholders - as the options are already in profit.
Neither of the above would be 'legal ' but if it was on the back of good news it might be seen as forgivable. I'm sure there are nearly 'legal'means of these delays occurring

If we got an RNS tomorrow I would expect it to use the 10 day VWAP up to close of play today.

LegalWolf, I agree the wording isn't very clear and I think it could be read that the 'lower price' is 5p even if the 10 day VWAP is 4.5p. I think the POW RNS makes it very slightly clearer.

If the 10 day VWAP was 4.5p (I don't expect it to be) then KAV would pay £1,170,000 and issue 26m shares.

I am hoping the 10 day VWAP is just above 5p - or my rationale is even less logical. If it is much below 5p then I agree it suggests they are sitting on bad news or not going to exercise. I wonder if they would try to launch an IPO on Molopo off the back of good news. It looks like Christian Schaffalitzky from Eurasia is somehow involved in Molopo Farms.

Genius, there are two block listings running concurrently!

Looking at the difference in the TVR on the 4th Nov and today no warrants have been exercised. I did expect some of the lower value warrants would have been exercised from either of the block listings.

I haven't asked about Molopo Farms. I'm a strong believer in RNS info, research and 'gut instinct'. I have seen where emails from CEOs have proved misleading to put it mildly. Also, I think comms should be to investors as a group rather than individual shareholders (although I am prepared to accept some reasonable exceptions to that rule).

Molopo Farms is in the South of the country so nowhere near the 2 ARCM licences.

KAV exercised pow warrants when they were out of the money.
I think the Molopo Farms deal is to help pay for the financing that is being put into Golden Metal. The shares are locked in so I can't see how that works. However the warrants don't appear to have a lock in. If the price went past 8.5p David Ovadia, whom I assume is a KkMe shareholder, could exercise his warrants to get some funds. A bit of a mad punt but there you go...
One additional reason - shareholders are not going to let BT away with having hidden bad news for so long, he may be an inveterate 'pumper' but I'm not convinced he's totally stupid. Doesn't totally stack up but...

I know nothing about Evrima but the fact the have chosen to hold onto a direct stake in Molopo Farms sounds positive for the project

XTR are waiting on additional drill permits at the moment. Perhaps QH will have managed to spend some time on our KCB assets to refine some more drill targets.

Pow had planned to IPO Molopo Farms. I'm guessing Richard Nolan and Christian Schaffalitzky de Muckadell were going to be directors of the listed company. I wonder if this will happen? There is a company Kalahari Key Group in companies house. I wonder if they will do Molopo Farms plus another Botswana project in the same listing (I don't think it would include the kSZ).
Perhaps they are trying to get the IPO off on the back of good news from the KSZ.

On the 16th March an RNS announced that the directors were surrendering their options at a VWAP of 6.94p. This netted the BOD a tidy sum but didn't add to the cash balance of the company.
On the 24th March an RNS announced a placing.
