KAV have yet to hit the proterozoic at the depth they expect So the proterozoic being closer to surface at the southern end of the KSZ seems to be just another bone being thrown to shareholders. We chose the location for previous drilling of the KSZ with the expectation that the proterozoic would be closer to surface than at GRS-1 which didn't turn out to be the case.
I agree Sandfire may be a potential partner although they probably have a sufficiently large area in Botswana at the moment. In Sept I posted the following comment
'If we are talking to majors presumably they will give some access to expertise. I would like to think that if we share our cores with Sandfire that we will get some limited access to their expertise - they will be very interested having licence areas just above KAV.' And got the following response
'Sandfire. They are NOT a major player. Their current interest & expertise is in sedimentary Cu, NOT magmatic derived NI-Cu-PGE. They may be a potential partner for the KCB, but not the KSZ.'
I think the decimation of both sentiment around management and the share price will have limited KAV's options in terms of how to progress an expensive project like the KSZ. This time last year they were going to drill a few holes, package an area up and get some finance through that. Let's hope their progress this year is more is more akin to their predictions. I would like to see an RNS with information rather than speculation in an interview.
Here's hoping drillling at Ditau finds something that can be formally announced to the market in the near future. Something is required to help confidence in management, exploration techniques and the share price and I think experience will mean investors want to see an RNS not an interview.

Khoemacau , which borders one of ARC's licences in Botswana, is rumoured to be up for sale. An operational mine and scope for expansion. It will be interesting to see who any interested parties are.

Sandfire quarterly results have been released
'Exploration commenced for nickel-copper magmatic sulphides at the Tshane/Okwa Magnetic Complex, which lies on the north-western margin of the Kaapvaal Craton, approximately 100km south of Ghanzi. Sandfire holds 4,390km2 in this unexplored, prospective region. A helicopter-borne
magnetic, radiometric and gravity survey was completed over the northern portion of the Complex during the Quarter'

It will certainly be interesting to watch developments.

I assume they will want to exhibit the drill core. I expect a lot of attendees would be interested in viewing massive COPPER sulphides.

Nice to see some good progress on our latest project with results to look forward to. Sandfire release their quarterly results on Thursday so there may be some interesting snippets of info there too.

For some reason MMG seem to avoid any reference to Leda Mining and Misisi. I haven't found any reference to it since MMG announced they were offloading it.

Once upon a time Or Tac got a duck. He called the duck Higgeldy. Higgeldy got worms and became lame. Or tried various remedies but never managed to cure Higgeldy. Or changed his name to Ar C and decided he would get a second duck. This duck he called Piggeldy. Unfortunately Piggeldy came down with gout. He had to have limb amputated and although he is lame now, he did survive the ordeal. Ar has a feast planned where he will serve roast duck to the lucky attendees. He has convinced many people to buy some very expensive tickets for the feast. The question is can Ar get Higgeldy and Piggeldy lined up and onto the spit?

I am not surprised that Fulmar didn't understand that an accurate cross section could be represented without drill angle and direction data. I did however believe SeisNav was capable of interpreting drill results and understanding the limitations of the data presented. I stand corrected!

This is an interesting comparison for a JV. There are quite a few targets on their licence area. Sulfides were encountered on the licences prior to the JV with RIO

Has anyone else contacted Duncan to ask what the story is with AA and Zambia?

There is no new application in and the Kalaba area is still part of the Handa LEL. I would expect this to be seperated out before any JV could be agreed. A JV announcement doesn't appear imminent.

That claims NVS is a qualified lawyer. I'm sure I've seen that discussed somewhere previously ;-).
