The raw market data comprises the price and volume of a trade and quoted bid and ask prices (and type of trade O A UT etc) at that time
Its these sites, not AIM that labels it as a buy or a sell depending on how the price of the trade sits within the bid and ask, however as differernt market makers may have different bids and offers then with thinnly traded stocks then these sites may mislabel whether its an investor buy or investor sell
I'd not too much reliance on the blue / red labelling , it is often incorrect
Bear in mind that some trades may go through Aquis and many trades are reported very very late (a bug bear of mine)
So dont look at the trading data as particularly reliable. Note all the micro trades going on, that can easily fill a screen with one colour of another, but the volume is in fact insignificant.
