That article looks like a summary from a YouTube video I posted a week or two ago. He's basically describing Condor.

With very little fanfare, we are actually up ~150% this year, so I guess we can't be right at the bottom! But then that chart doesn't have zero at the bottom (as a mathematician by training, bad graphs irk me!). So yes, around zero on that chart I would say.

The shape of the chart is the main point though. We've been through a long (very long, partly due to bear gold market) so-called orphan period already. It's generally accepted I think that the best point at which to buy - the best combination of low SP plus low risk - is just before a mine construction decision is made - which is just about now, give or take. Regardless, we're surely not at the top of the graph, so should trend higher from here IMO, although of course nothing goes up in a straight line.

Regardless of specific SP predictions, I see no reason why Condor shouldn't follow the same basic trajectory that's described here: https://www.kitco.com/ind/GoldReport/jun292010.html

And I see no reason why 2021 shouldn't be the year that we start that rise towards full value.

Sorry, SAS, that post makes no more sense than your first. You know the SP in pence between one company and another, is irrelevent, right? It's the percentage changes that's what counts?

SMH at the OP. If you have £X now, then to bag from X, you need 2X. Doesn't matter where your money is, the mathematics is the same. Thinking about it any other way, is, well, wrong quite frankly. It's a matter of maths, not opinion.

I think dividends, for a stock like this, are overrated IMHO. If that's what you want invest in the FTSE 100.

In many ways, it says something about a company if the best thing they can think of to do with the money they make is to simply give it away to shareholders.

For Condor, any money they make for the foreseeable future would, IMO, be better invested into exploration drilling, paying off debt, or 101 others things that would give us significant leverage on that money that should, all things being equal, contribute to the company's (and hence SPs) growth.

I think there needs to be an RNS on this, and soon. It's not good enough to be dribbling info out via local publications, without sharing it with loyal investers.

If this is true, and that's still a big if, then I find it very disappointing. Condor's presentations state a base case 3500 tpd producing 120k oz per annum. Starting at 1500 and then scaling up to 3000, 3 or 4 years later is not really good enough to me quite frankly. And it gives me no pleasure to say that.

MC, you need to give clarity on this, sooner rather than later.

Bear in mind, Calibre's MCap is "only" £460m or so. They seem to be comfortable issuing new shares, but even so, we may be a stretch for them to afford, on their own. Although it may not seem like it right now, Condor could be just as large as Calibre, or even bigger, in time. So I guess what I'm saying is, I'm still waiting to discover what Rio's involvement in all this is...

MC mentioned that since many funds have minimum MCap requirements, some major investers may be staying away *because* we're cheap. Bit ironic isn't it!

I would think the tax due to the government from the production, wherever it is taking place, would dwarf the economic impact of a few jobs at La India. The locals may or may not be happy about it, but I would expect the government to look at the big picture, for better or worse.

That said, as AF says, the amount of ore La India will be able to produce would probably be way too much to truck anyway. Not sure what size trucks could be used, but whichever way you look at it, 3500tpd (for 120k oz production) is a lot of trucks!

I know it's been on the cards a while, but I have to confess I'm a little disappointed that it looks like we'll be going for the small plant to start with. I'm sure MC and his team will have gone through all the scenarios and concluded that's what's best for the company and the shareholders, and so I'm positive that he's acting in all of our best interests.

Even so, I was pencilling in 120k oz production, plus maybe a toll deal in a couple of years, even if that meant a little more dilution.

Of course I'm still very bullish overall, and in the long run it will certainly minimise dilution and therefore maximise shareholders returns, but can't help but be a little downcast that it'll take even longer to get ramped up to full production capacity.

I think it's unavoidable to an extent, not just on this board, but on any. The vast majority of posters on any given board are invested and long. The majority aren't out-and-out rampers, but they wouldn't be there if they didn't believe in the stock and want it to do well. When life-changing sums are potentially at stake, it's understandable that some get a bit defensive.

I don't think it is any worse here than anywhere else though, and quite probably better than most. Most here have been invested a while and we know the story inside out, the good and the bad. A new invester asked what the risks were recently and I attempted to answer that as honestly as I could, while other posts of mine and others highlight the upsides.

Most of the negative posts I can recall recently (not thinking of anyone in particular) have just been fairly generic whinging, rather than any substantial or constructive argument. That's the difference, at least as far as I'm concerned.

On the one hand, I agree of course Connect. That said, it seems to me that Noel started it! Of course you should always play the ball, not the man (or woman) and name-calling is rarely useful, but then who's done the most of that recently...?

I think much of the recent legitimate disagreements come down to timescales at the end of the day. Sure we may slide by a few p over the next few weeks. Some people care about that. They may want to try trading it, or get down about it, or just want the world to acknowledge their investing prowess, if they called it right. But I don't give a monkeys personally, because I'm very comfortable with my investing strategy. That doesn't make one person right and the other wrong, just looking at things from slightly different points of view.

Unfortunately, I fear a certain reduction of politeness and posting quality may be inevitable as we start attracting a larger crowd (which surely we all want to help propel the SP to new highs). You only have to look at the GGP board to see how the few quality posts, positive or otherwise, get drowned out by the sheer volume of the masses. The price of success.

But most here would probably agree that basing your trading strategy on the 3-year technicals of a news-driven, illiquid junior gold company stock like Condor, is probably not sensible, regardless of whether your SP predictions are up, down or sideways!

He made the mistake of optimism, when the junior gold market was riding high. Anyone who hasn't made a mistake hasn't actually done anything. So what? It was many years ago. Let it go already.

I have found that in general, GGP investers are quick to point out the advantages the company enjoys, but are rather less keen to discuss the MCap, which is something like 19x Condors currently...
