I don't think we need to wory about the amount of gold the artisanal miners are getting out. They don't go very deep and their equipment is small-scale.

To the very best of our knowledge, there is no sale. Naturally, we'll be the last to know if there is, but as far as we can tell right now, we are going to production. MC has been consistent in that message for quite a long time. On that basis, we don't actually need the land for a couple of years. We have all the land for the plant and other critical areas.

Yes, of course it would be nice to have it all wrapped up and I dare say we'll all feel a little more relaxed once the 100% RNS comes through, but it's just one of many aspects being worked on in parallel right now and it's (probably) not blocking anything else. It'll fall into place one way or another.

I'd rather spend $120m for 120k oz, rather than $70m for only 40-50k oz TBH. The latter deal is worse on a oz/$ basis. Yes, I know, more to it than that, but still...

Local Nic Press has apparently been told 75k oz for a cost of around $50m. No RNS yet to confirm those numbers though.

There's stil so much we don't know, but MC has talked in the past of 70% debt, 30% equity mix, though I suspect our deal will be tailor made for us and may have several components.

30% of $50m is £11m. A raise at 40p would be 27.5m further shares. Plus whatever we'd need for ongoing expenses until production start.

As already mentioned, a toll deal would be highly significant. It is possible a toll deal could pay for everything from here until start of production. I do wonder why it is taking so long, if indeed it is still an option. Got to be more to it than just profit-sharing negotiations surely?

Yes, absolutely. I haven't check your specific numbers but but lower AISC means higher profits for any given rate of production.

The land is a non-issue at this stage. The courts and/or government will step in if needs be, but more to the point, we're probably a couple of years away from actually needing it in any case.

Fair enough, everyone's entitled to a bit of fun now and again! Just trying to clarify whether you considered it a solid investment or a bit of a gamble with money you can afford to lose that's all. Since it seems to be the latter, I think I'll steer clear for now.

I understand the allure, the seduction, the FOMO, very well indeed. But I don't understand the investment case. To be perfectly frank, you haven't convinced me that there is one. Just a punt on a vauge feeling that it'll continue to go higher forevermore. Like I say congrats on your winnings, but it seems more akin to roulette than investing to me.

But why? How do you begin to value something like that? Or, and I mean no offence, is it just a punt that you can afford to lose? Serious question.

Makes no difference IMO. It's either already agreed and we're just waiting for the announcement, or it never will be IMHO.

Congrats BigDog, looking at the chart, buying in 2015 gives you better than a 100-bagger since then. But what next is the question? I'm more interested in future performance than past performance. Seems to me that it would be a brave move to buy-in now. What are your thoughts?

I have no idea what'll happen in the next week, month or year, but I'd place a sizeable bet that gold will still be valued in 5000 years and bitcoin won't be! In fact I'd be suprised if bitcoin lasts 50 years before something replaces it.

Of course the counter-argument is that in the long-run, we're all dead, so it would be nice to make some money while we're still alive, and that's a fair point!

Back to the present - gold drops a hundred bucks and a few percent is shaved off of Condor and everyone loses their minds. It's always been an illiquid stock, nobody complains when it's going up.

Either you believe in the investment case here or you don't (in which case what on Earth are you doing here?!). News is expected soon, on a number of fronts.

Good stuff. I've followed Northstar for a while but never seen him cover Condor before.

book5 on ADVFN regarding video on Mina La India's Facebook page on production numbers: $50m and 75k oz. Obviously still a healthy pinch of salt needed and nothing's official until it's RNS'd, but those numbers compare well to yours Seingred.

I'd expect the profit-sharing agreement to be part of the negotiations. Calibre may feel that they are in the driving seat and so may want more than 50/50.

Just because it worked for GGP doesn't make it the right choice in our situation. GGP had no chance of exploiting their resource on their own, not any time soon anyway. We are much closer. I don't think the SP would 2-3x if we gave half away, and Calibre may not be interested anyway. In any case, I simply don't see it happening. MC and JM haven't got this far on their own just to give half away unless they really have to, and they don't.

Dilution is done to raise funds, without which the company would not be able to operate. There's no value in a bust company. You can't have your cake (growing company value) and eat it (same number of shares as 14 years ago) untill the company is making money, which all being well it should be fairly soon (at least compared to some of the timescales being discussed!)

So TBH, it seems to me like a bit of a waste of time arguing about it. It is what is is. Probable future share price is probable future market capitalisation divided by probable future share quantity. That's all there is to it.
