Remember as well, other than the first MATD drill - which is likely to be a duster - this is the only drill scheduled for the summer. Originally there was supposed to be JOG and UJO, both are delayed. Much less competition for interest. Everything has played in AAOG's favour.

I would generally agree with you, but then again, who knows. Look at CHAR this morning or UKOG in general to show what can happen if sentiment swings behind something. Quite a few big hitters have gone in big here, if you look at the chart if we keep going up at the same rate as the last few weeks we'll hit 15p come spud. Any uptick in interest between now and then will see us in the mid teens or higher.

on the chart from 12p to 14p. Earlier in the year this went from 11.63-13.75 in one day, and that was long before the drill campaign was getting underway.

Quite a lot of people were actually saying they were going to buy in on spud for the that very reason - including the insufferable itsgambling who's gone quiet since the breakout above 10p. So you may well see a rise on spud day.

Very confident here. However, nomatter how high this is trading it will always did in the summer months because of the rainy season. Production will always drop off because of logistical problems. The main roads of the most populated areas on the interior can be shut for days because of landslides. AMER is in Putumayo out in the middle of nowhere in the amazon. Don't think people here quite understand the logistical challenges presented there. It's not just UK type rain. Its torrential rain which soaks the ground and causes landslides. The worst is over by the end of August so you should see a uptrend in production, regarless of what happens with the workovers/drill campaign.

Today as I fully expect this to bounce significantly. Market is sleeping here: the major problem for AMER was the election. Heavy rain, landslides, logistical problems is par for the course in Colombia. Oil is there, decent production, high price of oil boost to revenues and three spuds to come. What's not to like. Been watching this for about 6 months now and its the same story, RNS out market panics, sell-off, market works out the news wasn't as bad as was thought and the SP recovers. Rainy season is close to ending so the logistical problems will abate. Expecting a great Q4 here.

Yeah, took at pretty big loss there (3.5% of pf) in one day - ouch! But from my experience its better to get out quick when you no longer have any clue what the price is going to do. I literally have no idea what will happen there, but I suspect it will drift. This has more than made up for it though, all of what I lost yesterday has come back today with this rise. I'll go back in JOG later when its settled, but I am dubious if it will be drilled in winter as I mentioned on there.

However, with the rig onsite and spud imminent surely to goodness the only way is up now for AAOG. High teens by spud would be nice :-)

All we can do it give our opinion. Anybody that tells you they know for sure whats going to happen is lying. My opinion is it will breach 180 and form a new base below - probably 160-170. I know that given the wait I wouldn't be tempted to buy until it hits 160, so make of that as you will. In order to invest in this now (at today's price) you effectively need to be willing to wait 6 months at the least for a pretty good chance (but not certain by anymeans) of a 50% return, because I see this at around 275 at spud. Personally I wouldn't leave money in any oiler for that long as you're always running the risk of some unforseen RNS (like yesterday) popping up.

Wherever it settles. I have absolutely no idea where its going to go. It might have already found the floor and I might regret selling out at 195. Then again, it might keep dropping, you just don't know. Personally I think it will breach the 180p resistence level.

Still plan on buying back in when it settles. Will be monitoring it over the next few months. Still think its a good RvR in the long-term, just think there will be significant weakness in the meantime.

Hey Sean, I remember you from AFPO in 2015. I remember you were invested in SOLG from back then. You must have made an absolute killing!

Could be a while longer yet. That may well be what spurs on the next leg up. I sold out at 5.4. Will look to move back in if 5p or below comes back up on the ask. If not, plenty of other oilers to trade.

If you look at the chart it always retraces some after a move like the one which just happened. Nothing moves in a straight line.

on the way this has always moved after previous rises I am expecting this to fall back to high 4s over the next month before resuming upward trend. Buy in price target 5p.
