For sure, they use a third more lithium too. This is the next big step imo. The issue is electric cars are too expensive generally but will start to drop in price over the next few years. Infrastructure also needs to hugely improve. Once these are done, more electric cars will be sold but may take a bit of time. We won’t be producing for around 12-14 months anyway so the market will be a different one then.

Interesting as I think solid state batteries use around 1/3 more lithium, so good for lithium miners.

We anticipate that the formalised Change Notification will be issued to the Malian authorities in early 2023.“

So trying to figure out why has there been such a massive delay in submitting the change notification?Is it because we were waiting to see if we were still part of the 2019 mining code perhaps? Any thoughts appreciated

Yep I think there is a big of negativity in the sector at the moment with forecast pricing. However when yo take a step back kodal is still v undervalued. Current prices equal £1.14 Bn profit based on 1.94mt. However even if the market crashes and say lithium falls to $1.5kpt that’s still £524m profit but for me I’m excited about the resource upgrade. Plus no gold is included. So surely a min market cap of £500m plus may happen eventually? Might take many years but there is data to support this and I take a long term approach. Lithium is needed for many years and pessimistic forecasts are based on all lithium projects coming to fruition and we know that just doesn’t happen. So I’m sitting on my hands and topping up when I can hear. Good luck all.

I think the problem is continued extensions that frustrate investors. Would have been better to originally work towards perhaps a 6-7 months period to get the funding in, then extend once or twice, but to continually extend mean people lose faith. Surely by looking at what happened re timelines for Leo, the BOD should have used those as a benchmark. Anyway I’m holding long term but yes I do agree it hasn’t been managed particularly well. Maybe Bernie got over excited but managing people’s expectations is also important in this game.

I hear you crumbles stick in there…think everyone is understandly frustrated but surely funding should come in soon. It is in everyone’s interest to get it asap. Fingers crossed, I’m holding for sure but everyone has to make that choice 👍
