Hi Ricky, it’s because a lot of investors are v impatient and want to make a quick buck. I am a v impatient person but soon realised in stocks it’s best to be patient and play the waiting game.

Point 1. Anyone who pays attention to the motley fool articles is not a serious investor, their articles always miss the mark and are full of inaccuracies.

Point 2. YTD return of plus 86 per cent. Pretty good huh?

It’s to do with funding. Do you not think that by giving $117m to the JV, Hainan might actually want something ie a decent chunk of the newly formed JV? This is perfectly normal and usual and this deal is one of the best I’ve ever seen on the AIM market. It’s up to you if you want to sell, it’s a personal choice. However kodal is one the cusp of something very special and you may miss out on a big rise in the SP. Up to you though that’s your call.

Hi Celle I don’t necessarily think Kod is under the radar as such but I think a lot of the big hitters will only want to buy when the funding is 100 per cent complete and then they can pile in which effectively de risks the entire project. I agree I’m confident we are almost there, not long left (I hope).

Hi oldslow, kodal will own 49 per cent of KMUK. Estimated profit based on current lithium price £1.4 Bn over lifetime inc floatation, at $2kpt £1 Bn. 14 days left for news…we hope!

Ps top line Kodal’s profit even it lithium drops to $2kpt is almost £ 1 Billion so I’m really not fussed! I’d be more worried when certain other CEO were basing their figs on $6kpt. Best to plan for the worst case and overdeliver.

There are differing views of thought on how lithium spod prices will be for the next few years.

But this may be a little biased, on the other hand Goldman’s are forecasting a massive drop in prices. However I don’t trust them, they are known to play the market then all of a sudden a TR1 is released with a Goldman buying that sector’s stock!

Remember kod is forecasting $2kpt and current price is $3.1kpt so plenty of movement has been allowed here, Bernie is a clever cookie.

Also let’s remember logistically it’s a right ball ache to get from China to Mali, looks to be around 1 day. Are senior leadership at Hainan AND Fosun really just going for a scoping out visit, I think not.

Ps reason why I say is now they’ve increased to 55 per cent control for Goulamina and clearly want to control lithium supply, and they are v cash rich with massive market cap

This is just speculation but does anyone else think Ganfeng may at some point offer to buy Kodal’s 49 per cent to then go into JV with Hainan? It would have to be a ballsy offer but think this could happen (prob some time off though)?

Yeah I’ve used current spod price in calcs as of today to give latest forecast 130ktpa for DMS ie 520,000 tonnes then 1.42m remaining for floatation.
