Wonder if anyone here invested in he1 recently. Wow. Shows big gains can happen quickly on aim (and big losses). Not to say it will definitely happen to kod but you never know, got to be in it to win it!

To be fair though I’d rather it stays low especially until April when the new tax year starts so I can keep topping up. Kodal is like an old school Heinz ketchup bottle. Good things will come to those who wait 😉 but yep it’s a joke where the share price is now, less than what it was, only marginally above when the massive Hainan deal was announced. I’d love to get some news on gold as media attention is so negative on lithium. We are a sleeping giant when it comes to gold.

Hi mijas, sure it’s because of a few things. Firstly lithium price has taken a battering down over 80 per cent. Many people selling as a result but we are low cost therefore even at these prices we are still making a profit. Others like core lithium are higher cost therefore have paused some of their operations. Secondly I think due to Leo lithium next door being suspended that does have a negative impact on us. However we have done everything by the book and seem to have a good relationship with the government. For me though it’s all about looking at long term and the profit we can make over the lifetime of the mine. Plus gold…that hasn’t even been factored into our share price and there is massive potential. I am hoping they’re drilling and can come up with some new MREs. That’s why I like kodal, it can pivot on lithium and gold. Plus project is fully funded for DMS plus many millions to explore. I’m buying dips and holding and thinking long term over a few years. Aim always goes up and it goes down. IMO significantly undervalued at the moment.

Here is the official ASX release. Looks as though a payment may be made to the Mali government, perhaps something to do with ore shipments. We won’t know for sure until it’s been confirmed though.

Yep agreed, after what we’ve experienced it is certainly wise to add some fat into the timelines. Bernie is a trustworthy CEO but does need to be a bit better at managing timelines. Oh well, slow and steady wins the race. I really hope it turns around at prem, whilst there has in the past been a bit of a rivalry between kod/prem holders I don’t think anyone wants to see any private investor lose money. So genuinely hope it turns around for them 👍

I think it’s part of the commissioning process which we will have to go through. I’m no expert though so not sure.

Some say prices will drop (Goldmans), others say slight rise. Who knows what will happen this year, seems to be a lot of conflicting analysis.

Ok I’ve crunched a few numbers today.

1. Based on 31.9 mt. Based on $1000 pt ie current price. Price may well increase though (I can’t personally seeing it decrease much from here as that would hurt supply) £50m profit DMS and £411m profit floatation. If got to $1500 numbers are £75m and £617m respectively.

2. If kod can get to 50 mt which is what they are targeting…profit based on $1000 pt is £78m for DMS and £644m for flotation. If price goes up to $1500 then figs are £117m and £966m respectively.

That’s exc c £566m of gold based on current prices (based on 2014 mre which needs to be updated).

So yes can confidently say kodal is very undervalued.

If Hainan did want to buy kodal out it would have to be a chunky number.

My thoughts are it is aim too which has struggled certainly over the past few years. I reckon anything 1p plus, could be a lot higher but prefer to manage expectations so I won’t be disappointed. Of course a buy out may well not happen too.

I would also say kod has a decent chunk of potential gold but more drilling required. A 2014 MRE was 350k oz for Fatou which based on today’s price is c £565m revenue, but main focus is lithium first. I wonder if perhaps Hainan are working on a deal for gold in the background (they have stated they are interested multiple times). I think from the timelines kod is looking at expanding further to 50 mt which will further add value. Always hard to estimate how high kod can go, I do think £500m plus market cap is achievable at some point but may take time getting there. I’m happy to be patient and hold 👍

Buying frenzy today, no idea why, could be that people are realising how undervalued kod is and thinking could be a decent long term play.
