Gold hitting all time highs recently, its inflation adjusted price breakout and the signs of a bull run make Panthera's claim increasingly good value for GoI.

Still expecting the next RNS to say that GoI has responded to the SoC and Panthera will respond in 6 months, but surely the case for early settlement has only strengthened over the past quarter.

Gut feeling is that the next RNS will simply be along the lines of "We've now received the GoI's response to our Statement of Claim and will provide our response submission to the court of arbitration on/before ."

I think the next steps from there will largely depend on the strength of GoI's response. Panthera will probably need a month or two to digest the specifics of the GoI submission to make this assessment.

If GoI believe their case to be weak, if I were them I'd make as robust a response as possible in November via the court, and then pursue an offer to settle separately, putting the ball firmly in Panthera's court.

If GoI believe their response to be strong, worst case is they dig their heels in and potentially we're looking at mid-2027(ish) for the final hearing.

My personal timeline is we'll get a feel of how this is going to go in Q1 next year, but I would be delighted to receive positive news sooner.

My working assumption was SoC submission plus 6 months, so 16th Nov(ish).

@Grow, not so much the rumour but the source of said rumour.

WSBN has risen 900+% in the past 3 months, and the last RNS was 13 days ago. We know the cores are in the lab, they've attracted plenty of interest and the drill bit is turning.

I'm not sure what else the company could be doing right now tbh.

It's only banter if it comes from the Banteur region of France.

The key question for me is: does it matter if it hits 2p today or not?

For traders or those where that's their exit point, probably.

For those with a medium longer term view (or even within the next 2-4 weeks), probably not.

It'll come soon enough.

@panama it can be seen both ways depending on your viewpoint.

However, drilling isn't a cheap business, so to continue drilling at hole 1 if it's not at least meeting expectations doesn't really make sense to me when your mcap is this small.

The question I'd ask you is: what would you expect an RNS issued at this stage to contain?

We know the drill bit is turning and hasn't broken. We know that core samples have been taken. The only things we don't know are if they are still drilling the first hole and how deep it is.

If they are still drilling the first hole, it'll either be because of slow progress to target depth for some reason or because they've gone beyond it. Either way, it's a professional drilling outfit so they know what they're doing.

We *might* get an update confirming drill hole 1 as complete, its total depth and maybe some pics of assays if gold is visible. However, they may just wait for completion of the drill campaign.

No news doesn't necessarily mean bad news... it just means there's no news worthy of formally informing the market about at this stage.

Assay results will take a couple of months to return following drilling.

What I would *like* to see in the near future is an RNS along the lines of "We have successfully completed the first planned drill at Red Setter. The drill met/exceeded the target depth of 550m without incident. Whilst assay results will follow, gold is (hopefully) visible across approximately X metres of core samples. The drill now moves on to its next target hole, with an estimated drill date of X".

Assays will be a couple of months away.

It would be welcome to receive a drill status update next week (which in the interest of balance could either be positive or negative, but hopefully would confirm that target depth has been reached and what the next steps are, i.e. keep going or move to the next hole). If they've hit gold, some pictures of drill samples too.

Given the strength of Panthera's case and the current price of gold, an out-of-court announcement may be forthcoming before a decision. Here's hoping so, but in the absence of that your strategy is bang on.

Think that single share trade was from yesterday.

It'll be interesting to see what the next RNS shows, whether it's just confirmation of drilling to target depth and moving on to the next hole, pictures of clearly mineralised samples, or something else.

This week will see 2 months since the SoC submission. Slightly surprised (but not concerned) that we haven't had an update on timings/next steps from the arbitration panel, but otherwise I just take a look once a day to see if there's been any news.
