In terms of next exploration opportunities, I know that Panthera Resources are looking to offload their Kalaka project - it's about 90km from Bougouni, has a maiden JORC resource of 800k Oz gold with realistic potential for 2-3MOz there, gold is close to surface too. Could be a great match when Kodal are up and running in-country.

I'm expecting that this visit to London is routine rather than for any specific announcement (although I'd be very happy to be proven wrong on this) - meeting lawyers, maybe our 'sophisticated AIM investor' partners, etc.

Certainly feels like we are entering a new phase with Panthera.

Feeling incredibly relaxed about Panthera right now. It's the easiest of my shares to own at the moment.

Kalaka could be of interest to someone like Kodal Minerals, who are currently commissioning their lithium plant in Mali and have other gold plays in the region.

800Moz at even $10 in the ground/oz would be dandy.

Obviously this is listed on AIM, but it's worth noting that mainland Chinese markets remain shut for the lunar new year holiday until Wednesday.

They thought that they could ignore Panthera, that Panthera would meekly go away, and they are now reaping what they've sewn.

Given the increasing spotlight on it, you'd think that making it go away as quickly and painlessly as possible would be in their interests, both commercially and politically.

Any chance that the backstop for SOC being pushed back to May (after we'd expected March-ish) is to allow time for parallel negotiations before the number becomes public, or do we think that's unlikely?

I don't know what the note is trying to clarify - is it it that Bhukia wasn't bought by Owais Metal & Mineral Processing Ltd, just its owner totally legitimately using the company name to buy it in a personal capacity, or that the unforeseeable black swan event (see previous para) has nothing to do with the company, just the guy who happens to own the company who bought the mining licence under the company's name?

It's a textbook exercise in how to shoot yourself in both feet with a single bullet.

Sitting tight is the order of the day here. We know there will be 3 updates published in/around this quarter (West Africa, hearing schedule and statement of claim), and there's not a lot to say that hasn't already been said, hence why it's quiet.

I am heartened by the new posters (even those that need filtering) - it means that Panthera's profile is rising and that can only be a good thing.

Always happy to be challenged on facts and debate evidence as it arises, but baseless opinions won't form part of my research or due diligence.

I'm pretty heartened by Gary's post though - posts of this ilk mean that Panthera is attracting interest, and we must be getting close to some material news.

There are many price sensitive questions that I'm sure we'd all like to ask!

Mark's experience prior to Panthera is public knowledge. An open question would be, how does his experience at Panthera with Bhukia compare to his relatable experiences elsewhere?

The corporate presentation was last updated in July, and there has been significant progress on Bhukia and WA since then. When does Mark intend to update the corporate presentation?

"The CLN proceeds contribute to our West African exploration activities and serve as a first step towards a potential broader strategic restructuring of the Company's West African gold business."

It's half of the total secured CLN value.

Happy that the court is permanently based in London and how PAT has proceeded thus far. Only question I have is, given that all submissions, witness statements, expert reports, other instruments and supporting documentation are confidential (unless a party has a legal duty to disclose), does the SOC fall into this confidentiality agreement, or are PAT legally bound to publish the size of the claim?

16th Jan marks (next Thurs) 1 month since the RNS was published regarding the initial arbitration tribunal hearing. Whilst we have had the Christmas break which will slow things down, I'm hopeful of an update on the legal place (seat) of arbitration and the procedural timetable in the short term.

Also, given that the Notice of Arbitration was published in July, I'd like to hope that the Statement of Claim documents would be in a pretty advanced state of development now. Hoping that the timeline for publishing these will be in this quarter.
