Morning all. Do you think we will get a dividend this year?

Yes the dividend payment has been known a while now. I announced it here on 21st November 2018.

Upward movement partially due to impending dividend payment and anticipated reinvestment of said payments.

Ex-Dividend date: 13th December 2018. Payment date: 28th January 2019. Amount: 4.8p.

I bought in at 16p yonks ago and sold at 3.3p sometime this year. Another loss to add to my learning curve, hopefully it’ll curve upwards one day!

Have the wasps gone into hibernation yet. My son stayed for a few nights a few weeks ago. The beer garden was buzzing with them. He said the place was busy, good food and nice staff.

A £3m pub opened near me yesterday. ‘The Longacre’ which specialises in dry aged steaks has already got 7 good reviews on tripe advisor. i am looking forward to checking it out soon and using my privilege card.

I got £702.10 divi. I could spend a month in the pub with that! It goes a small way to counteracting my 14.57% paper loss I suppose. Will wait a bit to see what sp does before reinvesting. I think there will be a little rise now whilst others reinvest their dividends.

Soaring? How long have we had Charles Wells now? I’d hardly call anything soaring with regards to Marstons, the sp has plummeted 33% approx in last year. This article is total hogwash. We need some good news soon to stop the floundering.

Good win for England today I hope plenty of Marston’s pubs are rammed with thirsty fans who are now continuing to celebrate the win rather than drowning their sorrows. They might as well stay on to watch the Poland v Colombia match now.
I was in my local Marston’s on the outskirts of town yesterday for lunch, unfortunately they only have a small tv showing the matches with no sound only subtitles showing, a group of lads came in to watch the match and swiftly left when they saw what was on offer, no atmosphere whatsoever, just a few diners in there. Hopefully this is not the story throughout the rest of the establishments.

Yes, shares normally have a boom on the Monday after a mention in the daily mail. However, be prepared for some chunky sells when fresh buyers have come onboard.

the Company will be paying a final dividend for 2017 of 7.5 pence per share (2016 final: 7.4 pence per share) on 22 June 2018 (payable to ordinary shareholders on the register on 25 May 2018), giving a total dividend for 2017 of 11.1 pence per share.

I have been thinking about buying some shares in Joules but I am a bit perturbed. After looking at the director deals tab above I see the directors have only been buying shares, which is usually a good sign. However, when I have researched the web I find that in early Feb 2018 Chief executive Colin Porter raked in �2.4million after he disposed of 750,000 shares at 325p each and Chairman Neil McCausland and his wife Janet Lovekin sold a combined 150,000 shares in Joules, netting them a combined �488,482. I wonder how long these Sells will take to show up on here. I might wait for a while see if these guys do any more Buying/Selling. After all they are the ones that really know how things are going.
