Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
I was ridiculed by the resident evangelist for selling out on some of my shares and waiting for a drop to the mid 40s.
I bought back in with them today.
Once the evangelists are ignored as well as the obvious 'de-rampers' it makes it easier.
Still, I wouldn't put anyone one on 'ignore'. It's the price you pay to stop echo chambers.
It means I'm on here less though. Which isn't a bad thing.
@LongerGuy
Probably because there is no sale. The market would have ran this a lot higher otherwise.
Hopefully tomorrow will bring good news. But it's a long way back.
@Max111
'EeyoreWaysIs sold and now worried about a rise. Haha. So obvious'
Well, it's not. But that's the spin you place on it. I have a holding here that I'm satisfied with. If the price drops lower I may consider bringing in more to trade with. If it doesn't, I'm not bothered. My life doesn't depend on this stock.
'Since you have nothing else to do' sounds a bit rich from someone who has placed over 5,000 upbeat messages on a single LSE board in a few short years.
That was a genuine LOL moment that.
I don't do filtering because it creates an echo chamber. I don't just want to hear from evangelists. I wouldn't even filter Chris2, however annoying he was.
Max, it's hard to know which direction this is going. I sold out a lot of my holding on the rise after the last RNS and looked another time to come in. So far so good.
I don't really read your posts now alas. Over 5,000 evangelical entries in a few short years actually puts me off taking an interest in someone's view especially as the share price keeps going up then heading south.
I'll keep the holding I have. No reason not to. But I've seen to many boards full of gospel spreading only to find it doesn't happen- regardless of how articulate the posters are.
Alien Metals has a fair way to go. And nobody knows how it will work out. We all want the best. But I'm not going to sit around promoting something against an impossible to predict future.
@JG68
You're right, and the bargain buy thing is tiresome.
I have a large holding that I am no hurry to sell at a loss. But I don't trust anything I read on these boards. My only question is whether I think the value will improve over the next three years. I think it will, but who knows ?
Like everyone else on these boards I haven't a clue. It's a hunch.
How about just posting sensible stuff. This type of entry is one of the reasons I don't visit here so often.
2.7p 'fair value' is oft quoted. I don't know why. It's just an opinion. In my time I've only seen the value drop.
I'm holding for the long term. But the reason why I don't visit here so much is because, despite all speculation, no-one knows what will happen. And I'm not going to listen to users who post thousands of similar posts over and over again.
2.7p is not fair value at the moment because the market says it isn't.
As you were then.
@MikeBarso
You are indeed allowed to say what is on your mind. But you have said there is illegal activity. There is no evidence of this.
The price is low because there isn't much confidence. Evidence suggests that this is due to earnings to debt ratios. The good news is that the company has a new major contract and lots of earning capabilities.
But folk will invest when they feel the time is right. And for many that is not now.
I have a holding here and a do some trading too. I sold that holding at 144 earlier today as I didn't think it would go much further. Over time I think there is a lot of potential here. But I didn't think today's news would push things beyond the initial surge.
I have quite a large investment here with a target in mind but I don't cry foul play at the share price. The company has a lot of debt and interest rates don't help. The total debt is higher than cash and short term expectations.
So there isn't a great deal of confidence at the moment. I sometimes wonder if I'm over invested. But I'm happy to leave things as they are.
But I'm certainly not going to go jumping around like an entitled child when the share doesn't give me what I want now.
So..
As I said before, this is the sort of tosh that stops reasonable discussion on these boards.
One of the things that puts me off these boards really. No-one knows what will happen tomorrow. Hopefully good news. But if folk were expecting it to be so good outside of us invested the price would be much higher already.
I have no expectations. Just hoping it doesn't tank. And I know that by posting '£1 by Friday' etc it will make no difference whatsoever.
None of us know what the results are going to be. Hoping they are good, but will have to wait. We know no more than those shorting.
A share like THG does not rise 17% for no reason.
The first thing I did was look for an RNS. None.
So there must be a rumour going round. Whether it's real or not.
I normally pour water on jumps in the price without evidence. They always fall back. This one is a bit unusual though.
It still utterly astonishes me that folk think they can influence a share price on a board such as this. Such a waste of energy and time.
It's shame they don't realise that. The board would be so much more enjoyable.
Some folk actually believe that by constantly posting doom and gloom on here they can actually affect the share price.
It never ceases to amaze me.
In my short time on AIM the most comical thing I have come across is where folk write such utter tosh in the belief that they can actually influence a share price by doing so.
I've seen it in these threads. It is genuinely sad that folk live their lives under such utter delusion.
The sad thing for me is that it means I don't visit very often now. I'm just here tonight filling in time before the Test match starts.
I'll return on the next RNS. Not sure when one will be. Not long since the last director buy so there may be a wait.
I'm just glad that I didn't listen to the great and mighty who said 'It's yer last chance'
Added a load today at the price I wanted. I won't kick myself if it goes lower as this was my judgement, right or wrong.
Just tired of the endless ramping, probably more than the doomsters.
