Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Last couple of days, when it's fallen back, folk seem to jump in.
Well done chaps and chapesses.
I average 1.15 here and disobeyed the Chris2 crew.
I'm also in RMM (about level there) and very down on ARCM. But I refused to buckle here and averaged down. This company has huge opportunities and solid foundations. I'm just pleased I didn't listen to those frothy de-rampers. Nasty folk.
@smiller
Let's not get too excited. I'd take 20p.
Don't go Chris. We'll miss you. I forgot to take your advice and failed to sell my shares at a loss so you could get your .65 entry point (although I can't see when we hit .65)
For some reason I thought you weren't invested though.
Please care about if it goes up or not. I need your help. I want you to be able to purchase my shares when they go down in value and I make big losses. It's comforting to know that someone else is getting the benefit.
I think we might break 1p, but I'm not convinced it will hold. I could see a return to the 80s.
But my view has always been long term and in that I have much confidence.
The problem with AIM is how folk get greedy and bored quickly. I'd actually be quite happy with another drop as I may add.
If folk want to play with this share a little longer I'm happy with that. It's not until the end of next year that I'm having a proper review.
I think talk of 2p is plausible, 3p soon needs some imagination. 10p is a little silly.
Not that I'd be worried about being wrong....
@Delphinium I wouldn't be surprised if there is another placement soon. Just to get things over the line. I'd be interested in discounted shares, but the problem is my dealing account is with the Freetrade App. Not sure how I get in.
Only problem with that is it soon falls back again. I'm interested in a move on the fundamentals. That is likely to hold.
It's looking promising at the moment. But I'm not going to get excited, although a have a quiet confidence that this will be in a very strong place this time next year.
I need to check with Chris2 first though.
I'm not doing anything before I have heard what Chris2 has to say.
There is a regular troll on UFO like Ella.
I can't get my head round it. They don't seem to realise that any impact they have is so minimal as to not even be noticeable. Yet they still do it.
Utterly bizarre behaviour. I'd love to know what goes on in their lives. A great social study.
The one on UFO vanishes when the stock goes up and returns when it goes down. UFO had an incredible RNS yesterday and they had a desperate go though. Resulting affect-none.
Is there a Trolls Union ?
Market not responding as quickly as I thought.
GREAT NEWS.
I just topped up... :-)
South Eastern now been taken over. But, let's face it, that was expected. A very political decision.
I'm not bothered seeing the rail side go. It only accounted for a small proportion of profits.
I'm normally cautious. But I have a feeling I need to buy a space suit.
I'm 50% down and no way will I sell. To me that's just nuts.
There hasn't been any bad news, just little sentiment. I'm hear for a long time not a good time.
Why would I take a loss I don't need to when the company is on a good path ?
The problem with AIM is that people are wanting to make quick money. So a long term holder will look at this RNS and see steady progress and then go back to their day.
Others will grumble, which is really their money stomachs grumbling. They want ACTION (which really means they want money for nothing soon).
Some will say sod it and sell, because they are impatient.
I'm finding UFO quite boring myself. But I have no intention of selling up. It's an investment I'm just happy to leave to do its thing over time.
That's annoying, I would have bought more today but did it at 21.75. Bugger.
Why are you so obsessed with talking down ARC Minerals, Peggy ?
According to Proactive:
Govia Thameslink, the line that runs through London and links Luton Airport to Gatwick, will also be investigated by the DfT according to the report, though sources close to Go-Ahead said the issues at Southeastern were an isolated incident.
"The Serious Fraud Office is aware and its position is that it can neither confirm nor deny interest. There is no more we can say about that in the circumstances," a spokesman for Go-Ahead was quoted as saying.
It appears it was a self referral. It's hard to know if the organisation did this because they believe there was fraud or this is just a standard practice in the circumstances. Case of wait and see.
@CaneToad
Nobody has been charged with fraud. And it would be wise not to speculate. All we know is that GOG referred matters to the SFO. This may be a standard process in such an event, we don't know. We know that it relates to £25m that was paid back.
Beyond that, it's a case of wait and see. But making accusations is not wise.
@CHRI55
The point I've noted here is that, in the first half, there was a profit of £56.1m of which £6.5m came from the total rail franchises. The rest is coming from the buses.
Foolishly or not, Ive decided to leave things be. Everything is a risk.
@Jwd222
Mate, if I knew the answer to that I'd be retired by now.
I'm just interested to see where it goes at the moment, although in a passive way thankfully, as my share portfolio is for later life which isn't that far away, but long enough- if I get there.
