I’d like to see the Fund Manager’s presentation on this when he went to Schroeders Senior investment board saying he wants to invest more in AFC after they’ve already taken a 65% hit within 18months on their previous investment here!!.... it must have been one hell of a compelling case!!!

Hargreaves Lansdown reported this trade as a buy... I’m more confident it was a buy then or 1/2 transfer to Thalion as most sites just report based on bid /offered prices... I have more faith in HL reporting and accuracy in timing too!!

It is not necessarily to protect the investor but maybe. It could be set up for various reasons
1. TAX efficiency
2. legal reasons
3. Regulatory
4. protect major investor etc etc

Who knows? Without knowing more then we are completely in the dark and as you said what happens if they should default on future drawdowns???

Whilst not wanting to undermine the good research done here often New SPV’s (Special Purpose Vehicles) are set up to fund transactions such as this for reasons of complicated Tax or Regulatory benefits. However, it could be also to hide who has the ultimate real interest in the deal be it RA, Denora etc etc

I agree though we should be probing to BOD at the AGM as to who’s behind this!!

As I hold share out of a nominee name as well I get all accounts posted direct. This I feel is just a version to satisfy regulatory reporting requirements!! It is the same as the RNS having Accounts & Chairman/CEO comments etc except it also has the auditors certification!!

Will we see the glossy accounts with previous leaked pages ... who knows!!

What I did scoff at was the chairman’s statement of how they communicate well with investors and use of the web site to inform investors of latest news etc ... my arse!! Unless you are a HNWI or Corporate Investor!!

BumbleB you asked in an earlier post about the future of Stade. Well reading the AUDITED accounts briefly yesterday I did not approx a £370k provision for the winding down of Stade... that doesn’t mean it’s going to happen but obviously if there’s doubts then prudence rules!!!

If I’m reading this correct then I think Thalion are going to see a 20% return on this investment providing AFC redeem notes prior to maturity:

A: 5% by way of arrangement fee - settled in shs upfront now
B: 10% discount at outset of drawdown
C: 5% premium to redeem notes prior to maturity!!

Is that how others see it??

People (including me) are rightfully negative because we have had years of false dawns and promises. NO MAJOR deadline/milestone has ever been fully & 100% completely ever been completed!

I don’t like talking politics on this board but since AFC can’t communicate we might as well!!

I voted leave as I remember back in the 70’s when we had the referendum to join the EEC! We only entered on the basis on joining a trading block. Political and Economic, Legal and now Military Union was never on the cards but through a number of Treaty’s we as the public were “conned” into the E.U. we have now by Politicians on their own agenda!! Only Monetary Union was ever really challenged because of physically having to lose the £.

I voted Leave not for any other reason that I believe that the E.U. is a FAILING economic project (Greece, Spain, Italy etc etc) which will collapse expedited by our leaving as a net contributor. I would rather be out under our control than being a member of a failed continent. Collapse will be hard for us on the outside let alone being a member of it would be devastating for us all!!!

These were announced a year ago today for 2017... so anytime now!! Announcement of AGM which is going to be pivotal in my eyes or a Bloodbath!!!

Come on AFC /BOD start opening the lines of communication or otherwise what the f**k has been going on!!!

Unless we hear something positive you’d better book a full day in the conference room at Stamford Bridge as you are going to have loads of questions coming your way!!

In my current doom and gloom state of mind... Surely if any delays are the result of BREXIT then I’m sure that would have been eagerly communicated as to the reason... since every other scare or issue is blamed on BREXIT I can’t see why AFC haven’t used it too!!!

Im with you all on the negativity and just as p****d off as the next person.

I believe more than any other year that this years AGM will be the most critical than ever before unless a big white rabbit is pulled out of the bag beforehand!!

I have attended the past 4-5 years AGMs and to be honest I’m disappointed that so few on here actually attend.

It’s no use belting on about how bad the the BOD, AB, JR and so on (which incidentally I don’t disagree!!)... but ATTEND THE AGM AND ASK THE QUESTIONS AND AIM TO GET THE ANSWERS YOU WANT.... Don’t just sit on the BB and moan... if you really want to protect your investment it is down to you to be there!!! We need numbers and those present to be vocal about the issues.

I guess I wil still see the same faces again this year battling away!!
