I am going to invest more here on the basis that the company is confident of buying its own shares back on the cheap in anticipation of the Indian Gov paying up. Clearly, I would prefer a large one off dividend payout for us and buying some cheap oil producing assets from a smaller player but events appear to be unfolding in the run up to Christmas.

I hedged a little as I hold a reasonably big chunk of HUR but a took modest punt with CA a few weeks back because it is trading at under NAV. Not long to wait, but hoping all sides get a reasonable return on their money.

Worth a read as the ESG de carbonisation side of oil and gas production and consulting moving on well. POS tech should see increased demand over the next few years = more orders = more revenue and hopefully a much much higher sp from here.

Added 20,000 via HL about an hour ago. Not a great price, just under 14p because of the split. Why? Because uranium is a hot commodity and someone like the Chinese or a major prod might just pick up Aura for chickenfeed $ right now.

There is the possibility that this actually comes to nothing because the management fail to offer a fair price to the larger share holders. If that were to occur I suspect the sp might fade a little but the business remains an interesting one with potential?

.....on the facts and try and let go of the rumours even though they might be fun/interesting. The Oil is price is high and looks to be staying that way for this winter at least, the well is still pushing out 9,000 bopd give or take and HUR will be debt free within months. on the basis of the current facts HUR remains a hold for me with the chance of a significant re rate early in 2022.

The 26% JV very reassuring but technically I think a bid a higher % than that but as you say the matter is being negotiated. The problems RIO are experiencing in Mongolia should add to the value of SOLG imo.

FT Today, a Johnson story about Mongolia:

The dispute between Johnson and Buyantogtokh comes at a sensitive time for Mongolia, which needs more foreign capital to develop its natural resources but is locked in a bitter row with Rio Tinto over a late-running $6.8bn underground copper project.

Globally significant copper resources are not that easy to find and then extract as RIO are learning in Mongolia. Meanwhile SOLG is sat on a Tier 1 gold and Copper resource in a more stable part of the world. Surprised we have not attracted a bid thus far from a larger player.

Broadly agree, for anyone punting on mining stocks you need to understand the difference between a purely exploration play followed by preliminary feasibility study, feasibility study, mining plans, early production small producer and then large producers etc. As it happens I was over exposed to OMI because I was foolish, I sold off 70% a few weeks back. This morning after the drop I added a few back because the RNS does hint at JV progressing well. I am still 40% down which is not very clever but hold some hope that OMI passes the 23p (my break even) by mid 2022.

Biker888 how about answering the question posed? Too difficult? Go over to the SOLG board and tell them how lucky they are, see what response you get.

Normbeef at this stage in the game many small investors in small explorers are looking for a sugar high from drilling results which this is not. Remind me why this is a big project...not being sarcastic but the context helps. If we are going to have to be patient then paint me a picture of where OMI will be in 3 years time. When you punt on small players with big partners, example SOLG, the hype is great but the reality is that the financial rewards are meager and the timescale years.

Great news for the UK taxpayer and RR investors.

RNS this morning........Darkbeam rather than Darktrace but still very good news.

The Gold assay results are nothing special compared to other explorers. The presence of zinc and silver useful. The fact that JV partners are keen is the only encouraging news from this RNS imo. Not quite what I had hoped for.....
