Invested bigly, sold 50,000 at 18p and selling a third at 25p would see my original stake returned. After that it is all profit. Always some political and security risks in countries like Columbia so holding out for 40p or beyond is not for me.

Unphased, this deal as others have said will unfold over months not days and now content to sit on my shares until I see 25p when I will sell a third. After that 30p or above depending on news, flow rates and bids.
If you are not invested now is a good time to buy imo, DYOR.

No not madness, took some profits late today by selling 50,000 as anything can happen in the oil game and Colombia.
That said I still have a few hundred thousand more shares more accumulated when times were hard and this board very quiet. Hope to sell some more more around 25p so those who bought my shares today will be doing nicely too.
Where it will end? Cash and share offer I suspect from a larger player like GTE.

AMER my largest individual pension share holding, purchased on potential a couple of years back, watched it fall, averaged down and down some more now finally I am in the blue at around 15p an could enjoy an early retirement if this flies up to 30p.

Others in the same boat and a big relief to know the reading, research and risk vindicated, happy weekend oily dudes!

By way of comparison GTE is thought to be undervalued because of issues arising in Colombia, that said I remain bullish on Colombian Oil explorers and content to sit it out here.

Bought in after drop and averaged down again not long ago and my holding in the red. But based on NAV of 10p a share, cash in hand, potential gold/copper under their acreage from bore holes etc happy to hold.
Big risks, political, security etc therefore expect a return measured in multiples not double digit percentages.

Despite encouraging news the sp has drifted back down and now might be a good time to top up. I still expect sales to push the sp to 5p and beyond later this year.

I do not like the ramping here either but...the sector is hot.
