HI EC, when markets drop on a panic traders will sell good shares to cover their liabilities elsewhere hence CNE at this price and perhaps going lower. The fundamentals are such that I am likely to buy some more for the same reason I will be refuelling my car today. The world needs more oil and very little exploration is being done these days thanks to the eco loonies.

Hi Quady what is your plan/prediction for SOLG? Interested in hearing investor views supported by experience, data, technical analysis, news etc. Are you invested? How much & how long? Exit plan?
Mine remains medium term, a couple of years buying on lows and waiting for a bid. I do worry about Black Swan events hitting SOLG eg change of Government, civil war and nationalization etc.

Quady I think not worth anything is a bit strong, re the FT tearsheet I think "encouraging" a fairer description.
Time will tell, topped up here recently as I feel anything sub 20p is cheap but am realistic about the price of a bid.
25p or a bit above I suspect rather than mega money.

I thought the dip a bit daft so purchased 3 modest tranches for family pension pots this morning. Why? Because I can see at least two positive outcomes. The first that the company gets the finance to extract the copper, gold and silver itself and the second that BHP or another large player makes a bid.

I think option two the more likely and do not expect the bid to be a generous one. Just finished nicely ahead with AMER having averaged down to12p the final bid was 19.2p from GTE. The AMER board was full of hotheads claiming it was worth 25p or more, the market thought otherwise.

I have stayed with SUMM via HL SIP. While a little concerned about the liquidity of the ADD I like the science behind this company. The world needs new antibiotics and if SUMM delivers that drug it could sell for decades.

Anyone spoken to Mr W recently? If so what was the vibe?

Mitsubishi has bought a 30 per cent stake in a Chilean copper mine from Mantos Copper for $263m, in the latest expansion by Japan into South American mining.

Mitsubishi will participate in developing the Mantoverde copper mine and also receive 30 per cent of the mine’s output for its smelters, it said in a statement.

This morning the RNS saw the sp pop 20% but by close of play it is in the red? Crazy movement imo.

The whole sector is out of favour, for the time being markets fear there will be no market for oil in 10 years time. While this is nonsense oil exploration looks risky as the global economy cools down as debt and disease take their toll on growth.

PMG need to get drilling and find some oil!!! A bit frustrating right now as this company has potential but not the results to see the sp passing 80p or more.

What caught my attention was the T Cell connection and I wondered if this development might boost OXB or sink it?

If OXB had the tech and IP to churn out cancer killing special T Cells we would be well rewarded etc. If....

Noticed another modest drop today yet a healthy number of share trades and many buys. Is it time to bottom feed on PTEC? What are the current levels of debt, income statement, profit and loss etc? What is the present net asset value per share? What more bad news is lurking?

Broadly agree, I bought in a couple of years back because I thought the arbitration would result in a sp spike now I fear we may see little cash from India and that is largely priced in already. I am holding on to see and remain hopeful that the potential African off shore wells will one day boost the sp.

It shows how out of favour the oil sector and CNE is today that a very positive RNS leaves the sp flat. Have we really reached peak oil or is this all part of the Greta Thurnberg lunacy and in a year or two taxpayers will realize how costly this green utopia will be?

A large supply gap is likely to emerge over the next 15 years, it says, owing to under-investment in new production to replace depleting fields. That could result in a “steep price correction” for oil in the second half of the next decade — and bumper profits for those prepared to invest."

While primarily a gas company the oil assets owned by PMG in the north sea could prove to be valuable in the future.

I was involved in the recent general election and what struck me about delivering leaflets to houses around south Cheshire was how few had re charging sockets for electric vehicles. I also read that UK SUV sales outnumber EV sales by 37:1.

I am willing to wait and stay invested in oil exploration for a while longer yet because Cairn's best days could well be ahead of us and not behind in India.
