I concluded some time ago that share prices do not move on fundamentals but by Machiavellian market makers.
The small investors are at the bottom of the food chain and swim around in murky waters trying to avoid becoming fat-cat-fish snacks.

Thanks Pooka that news plus the poor liquidity of the share price a problem.....not going to average down on a lost cause.
When we see some better news and dividends maybe then.
Surprised they have stayed listed and not taken POS private on the cheap.

Answer, 888 are a simple to understand business which makes profits, pays a dividend and with exciting exposure to the US Gaming Market. This should never have fallen below 270p imo but market sentiment and the UK Gov position on problem gambling flattened the whole sector.

Predicting another nothingburger week but will be delighted to be proved wrong.

Going private for pennies soon imo......

As this drags on I feel/predict a crap offer approaching of shares and a little cash from one of the larger players.

Not that long but totally hacked off with this holding! I thought naively that after consolidation to £10 we were on a different path but no.....its like the days when the sp bounced between 4p and 10p. All the more galling because the production, science and product seemed to be sorted. Holding but not averaging down.

Would this explain why the original phase 3 trial with US patients was a relative dud? Not enough of that group in the trial to drive the results above that of the placebo group? I remain cautiously optimistic that this drug works for a targeted sector of patients and this might get it past the FDA and onward to market.

Great acting, an enjoyable film which I watch on a regular basis.....now back to the world of oil what are your views on where AMER is heading? I have a nasty feeling the talk will not result in a firm bid. No more than paranoia perhaps but the chat and the sp movement reminds me of Flybe when Stobart made a bid and many thought they should hold out for 50p.

AMER on much firmer financial ground but I would like to see a firm offer materialise asap.

I think it will help a little but....in the longer term countries that need oil will look at the geopolitical situation in the Gulf and want to write future contracts with suppliers in more stable regions. Colombia is coming out of a thirty year war all sides might be willing to put aside their differences and make some money.

Got burned here averaging down from £3 and stop lossed around 180p crystallizing a significant financial loss.
That said always felt the business had potential so bought back in a three months ago and have enjoyed the ride thus far.
Would I buy more in the hope of seeing £3 again? Not until Brexit sorted and some firm news on a bid but willing to hold.

Suspect shorting, personally not alarmed by the company dabbling in renewable energy and remain confident the oil reserves PMG hold will be extracted from North Sea fields in the next few years.
