I'd offer an example tho, wealthy areas have no problem with rubbish or waste, but it's a problem for deprived areas.

Which highlights my point, the wealthier the person, his surroundings and quality of life, the more that person will look out external to his surroundings and environment.

If you are born into poverty, or deprived areas where quality of life is low, your desire to improve your external surroundings will diminish massively.

That's why nice areas, with hone owners flourish. And poor areas with sheltered accommodation don't.

Look I don't want to argue about off topic things, I didn't find your solution to taxing poor people as label them the problem a solution. For numerous reasons, bottom line is PHE and other initiatives, have the scope to tackle these through innovation and raise the standard of living, and many problems surrounding waste, and the benefits should be Energy production. I'd like to believe governments should be backing these type of schemes and not leave it to us to put our hard working money to fund, and I'm the hands of wealthy benefactors who care little about its stated goals only the generational wealth it will provide them.

I think people care more than you think, I just think of their list of problems going on in their life, probably starting with the bill at the checkout, that disposal of plastic is the least of their concern. They have a council oriented bin for that purpose, which they use when separating trash. I think we have a lot of real societal problems in this country, i don't believe taxing people, making capital punishment through punitive measures you are suggesting, will go anyway to making the problem a solvable one. I see it creating worser living conditions, bringing down the level of interest in a person's environment.

I agree on social responsibility, but ones responsibility to provide adequate living for a person's family will come before the responsibility that lies in councils and governments to whom use taxes on fanciful initiatives that lack any sort of lasting effect.

I don't think more taxes, or tax on everything helps improve environment, I believe it will create the opposite. Poverty, and a breakdown of any social responsibility

Sorry guys! Bit of a rant there.

Innovate ideas like this backed my governments is the way forward not taxes on small business over cutlery usages. They would simply just buy a dishwasher and use metal ones. Innovation over taxes will always be my preference, progress over poverty driven initiatives always.

7.6p seems a continuous presence lately, flipping from support to resistance constantly. Even last few days, gets anywhere near it its dropped to below placing or placing. Breaking that first, is first protocol and hopefully count on it to be a strong resistance throughout
