And I would suggest it's only the northern politicians that wanted HS2 as they, unlike most of their constituents, were amongst the few who would have been able to afford the extortionate fares. A bit like 'Northern powerhouse' - railways for the relatively few that can afford them while we plebs in our cars and goods vehicles get to queue on the Snake Pass or frequently jammed M62. I'm in your shoes, nervously looking into more 'speculative' investments having foolishly (in my case) having left it late, being confronted by this behaviour. People say they have been holding for years and were finally looking to get their reward with lots of praise for more recent management. Some of us very recent holders are lucky enough to have made healthy gains (with a bit more to come), but many seem to have lost heavily. Is there something shady? Don't let your hearts rule your heads. I still don't know if I can practice what I'm preaching though!

It does look like a scam. Quoted less than 26p to buy 5 minutes ago. Thinking of all the past praise for the bod, it looks like they've sold PIs down the river on the face of it.

I actually bought some by mistake. Yes, really. Got a quote and accidentally hit buy instead of back. Fortunately, just didn't feel comfortable and sold a couple of days later with a 20% gain just before the recent plummet. Sheer luck. I was just trying to point out that you can't just turn £1500 into £10k that easily. Some people look to have lost around 90% on MAST. I only made around £300 on my £1500, but to many of us (who foolishly, like me wasted their earnings in their younger years) that's good money and we have to be very careful.

Bb123. Meanwhile, out in the real world.... Most of us have to start from somewhere/nothing. Imagine putting your money in MAST/Quantum a few months ago. You wouldn't be able to afford any UKW if you still had those.

I think anyone interested has just missed the Liverpool/Sefton annual solar together offer. Quoted £6.5k for 14 panels, 5kw battery all fitted. Extra £1.2k for optional ev charger. Cheaper than octopus (who are very good) and Nationwide BS offer extended mortgage interest free for "green" improvements. This offer will probably come round again next year if you're interested. Register interest and council put it out to tender.
