Personally I think it’s a very dangerous time to try and trade in and out of AML, the reason being is some days over the last few weeks it has jumped between 5 & 40%, think a sit tight and take a few dips along the way, we have had a general recovery in the markets plus the Moers appointment, so a decent announcement could certainly see the price above a £1.
Sit & hold is my honest opinion!

Hopefully the papers report the rise, and investors see AML as a recovery play.

At 65.51 we are not far away!

66.5 was the high of the day & we are nearly back up there, it would be great to test 70p today.

Good video on YouTube going through what a great fit Vettel and Aston Martin would be, the article says with the rebranding of racing point to Aston Martin that it would be the perfect time for Vettel to join them, they further state AM have a three year plan to become serious contenders.
That would be a real stroke if he joins!

I agree unless they value them higher, it gives them the option to either hold them in treasury to re-sell or cancel.

In the documents for the AGM one proposal is that they want consent to buy back their own stock in the market, if AML consider the stock has fallen to far they may wish to do that, they can also cancel the shares which causes a tight squeeze in a rising market as there’s obviously less shares in play.

I reckon they will announce a chief financial officer, and one/two well respected directors and I think that’s enough.
Oh and plus a share option scheme for the new board, then if they turn the co round they are rewarded handsomely, and so are we.

Maybe they used the shares as collateral to raise funds to participate in the rights issue, and the % holding has come down 3% purely down to dilution, it happened to me years ago I didn’t have enough money to buy shares in a fund raising so my holding was diluted, it happens a lot with mining stocks.

I think the AGM will mainly be about a ‘share option scheme’, a top board of directors aren’t coming for big wages as they are already in well paid positions, but the big money is made through ‘share options’ and if they hit targets they can make absolute fortunes by acquiring shares in the company.

There’s a good article in the Telegraph if anyone can copy and paste it, basically it runs through why Andy Palmer was the wrong fit, stating Ferrari make one more car than it sells and Palmer started over supplying the market, he came across to AM from Nissan which says it all, he just didn’t get the luxury brand.
Palmer also kindly allowed AM workers to buy shares in the float at £19, with the shares being down at 50pish I think it’s fair to say he wasn’t popular in the ‘staff canteen’ !

The other week when they released the figures they said they would not give any future guidance in the current situation, so the best I feel we can expect from the AGM is they announce they have brought in a major investment(alongside money already raised) and announce two or three highly respected new board members.
Can’t really see Stroll joining the Mercedes team as report suggested, surely he can’t be in two camps, I know for example investors can’t take stakes in two football clubs as it is against the rules and the spirit oF competitive fairness.

I think a lot of people think about the present to much, but shares are about buying into the future, and the people involved now are ‘brand builders’, Stroll understands the ‘laws of supply & demand’, by making less cars but of higher quality is right for today’s market.
I understand why the cars have such appeal to rich women, it’s beautiful & sleek, Ferrari’s are more ‘rich boys toys’, more ‘horny looking’ than beautiful, and certainly not a everyday usable.
It’s gonna be a ‘rich *****es car’.
Mercedes are a boring car & the problem imho is you can’t tell a £40,000 car from a £100,000, that’s why there residuals are a poor investment.
I think the plan looks good and look forward to a clear strategy being set out on wed, Tobias said he’s a strategist, and tff G e stock market like a clear strategy!

Does anyone consider the pandemic may have helped AML, before anyone screams at me I mean the economic impact of the virus.
AML was losing big money every week, then cane lockdown and 80% of the wage bill was met by the government.
They were looking to reduce cars built anyway, so that’s taken care of.
The DBX is on target so no impact there.
They had just raised £500m.
The three month lay off has given the management time to restructure the business, a much needed three months.
Government grants and cheap loans will no doubt been applied for.
If you look at the whole picture the lockdown may have been turned to AML’s advantage, may be a case of ‘dawn comes after the darkest hour’, no one wanted the pandemic but unfortunately you have to get through these times, and it may well have given AML some much needed breathing space(no pun intended)

If you look at it quite simply, the CEO must have been offered some package to leave Mercedes, wages and more importantly share options

It’s at the high of the day now, looks like it’s going to test 50p, that would be nice to see it above 50p

I find with AML you have two runs a day on a good day that is, shoots up in the morning then around 11 it comes off, and has another run late in the day.
Whilst we could pulled up by the rise in Germany yesterday, we have been pulled back by it falling today in Germany, overall it’s been positive though.
