Just bought 46,000 odd shares and it was murder, had to break it down in to small lots.

I agree Stile, nothing wrong with banter, or strong words but it’s all gone stupid lately.

I don’t expect any news of deals or appointments pre-general meeting, as it would be seen that Stroll is being arrogant and seeing the vote as a ‘done deal’.
But after the 4th it’s ‘game on’, he has completed all the procedures relating to the takeover & refinancing and he can really crack on once he’s crossed the i & dotted the t’s.

Phoenix, take as you find, I’ll help all I can if you hold the stock, some here are short so they’ll be negative, some are day traders so they twist & turn.
I have a great position in AM and hold no other shares listed on the LSE, the only other share I hold is VIR Bio listed on the Nasdaq, and as soon as the crossover price is right I will be selling & buying more Aston Martin.

CarsCoffee, I don’t to be honest but we know MB has 20%, Stroll said in his statement that that makes MB the second biggest shareholder behind him, so that accounts for say 50%, then they recently brought in I think it was Zelon & Parmian(?) which probably accounts for another 20%.
I think there is no more than 30% in private investors hands.
So on good news there could be a shortage of stock, one of the reasons I asked you the other week about whether you use a broker is you will know if the market is short of shares then they’ll phone your broker & bid you on your stock, this has happened to me on many occasions, e-capital, fab capital, Matalan.
The squeeze is coming CC, and that’s my honest opinion.

C264, consolidation does not, the point your missing is most of the shares are in the hands of Stroll & co, with not many shares in the ‘open market’ then on ‘good news’ the price can be quickly squeezed up.
Watch & learn, not from me but from history.

C264, I was explaining what Matalan done on the market, not afterwards, I was pointing out about how a ‘illiquid’ share can be squeezed up.
Your missing the point it wasn’t particularly about Matalan, more the way the market works.

Thanks guys, a bit frustrated especially when Nevas was being accused of being part of ‘the crew’, definitely not crank, in fact 3300 positively hounded Nevas at one time.
Did you notice 3300 posted ‘I never asked for you to be banned’, she didn’t deny reporting me.
I don’t mind if someone wants to report you, but 3300 was the one who started the insulting by calling me, the report button shouldn’t be used as a tactic.

Although the price has just spiked a bit I don’t think much will happen for a couple of days till the consolidation is done,but then I think it will rocket on good news, I’ll state my reasons below.
Years ago a family I know personally floated Matalan, the family held 86% of the shares.
With only 14% of the shares being in the ‘free market’ they were in short supply, consequently the share price would get ‘squeezed up’ on any good news, the market makers would be bidding you if they knew you had stock, this of course meant the market cap went ridiculously high, so the family in control would release another 5% here a & there.
Made the Matalan family billionaires, or rather John Hargreaves the founder a billionaire.
I can see the same happening with AM, most of the shares being tightly controlled by Stroll & co, supply being short when demand is high, the ‘tight squeeze’ is coming.

JC, that’s what I meant about poaching, they’re obviously trying to attract people from the other car co’s.
