Not forgetting hydrogen and the haulage industry . Hydrogen powered lorries will be part of the future in the haulage industry and AMTE should see a real opening in that market .

Solid state batteries are still being developed but require 35% more lithium. This will make them very expensive and push up the price of lithium which is in short supply . Unless a cheaper alternative to lithium can be found .

So there is a real market for lithium-ion batteries with extra fast charging capability. 6 minutes to charge your car is hardly an inconvenience !

Yes agreed with solid state as the way forward. If there is no replacement for lithium then the outlook is very rosy indeed . That's why the car and battery industry are so keen/desperate to secure supplies of Li for the future .

Really don't think Newmont will mothball or sell ! My feeling is they will make an offer to Greatland & buy us out .

Greatland then concentrates on the JV with Rio , sorts their balance sheet out , pays a special dividend to shareholders and strides onwards and upwards.... leaner & meaner !

Perhaps a JV really is on the cards with BP....

Potentially there's lots of good news in the pipeline (not too far off) so the sp is looking very attractive at these levels . Over sold or over manipulated by the MMs (however you wish to interpret this unjustified fall ) . IMHO....DYOR etc. etc.. Good luck all 👍

Under subscribed by well over 50% ...not helpful when the company needs cash .

My calculation is based on the price of a metric tonne of pure copper on the futures market to be delivered in December of this year . Nothing to do with the price of concentrate.. But my 22% calculation was based on wet metric tonnes not dry of concentrate being produced at BP . I think a good ballpark figure for breakeven turnover at BP is $6,000,000 per twelve month period . You can be pedantic and try to get a more accurate figure but the main benchmark will always be the price of copper on the futures market.

No the concentrate being produced at BP is at 22% copper . Vast managed to produce 282 tonnes of it in June and that is the breakeven point for the operation.

Operational breakeven implies just covering costs fot the mine so really not sure if that includes any interest on debt for the company as a whole .

Vast hope to ramp up production further from this breakeven point and also the turnover figure doesn't include any revenue from Tajikistan. So not out of the woods yet but certainly hopeful if productivity can increase further. $6,000,000 annual turnover from now on should be the low estimate of potential turnover .

Here's my rough calculation of BPs monthly turnover at breakeven point based on December's futures price of $8316 per tonne of copper .

From the last Q2 results 514 WMT (wet metric tonnes) of concentrate were produced in Q2 and 55% of that figure was produced in JUNE which was breakeven month . So 55% of 514 is 282 wmt of copper per month at current production levels .

So a rough estimate of the price for concentrate with a 22% copper content is 282 x 0.22 x $8316 which equals $515, 924.00 per month . The actual figure will be less than this because of water content and other deductions . Let's say BP can produce a turnover of $500,000 per month that's $6,000,000 per annum of revenue at current production levels . That should be enough to refinance any debt .
