You claim to young so a piece of wisdom. you say that when you inherited them they were worth between 5-6 K . So that a fixed point as far as taxation goes. it does not matter what they were purchased at when your name appears on the register it is what they are worth at the time of transaction. Given that nobody knows your personal circumstances and your youth I would strongly advise that you spend some money and see an accountant or other suitably qualified person as you may well be close to what is called a gift limit as far as taxation goes. advice given in good faith.

As a further point your comment re the complications etc this I can assure you is at the lower end of the scale. If you have time take a visit to a court where such things are ultimately decided and watch the back entrance. The evidence bundles arrive in transit van loads and I mean plural! I my self occasional act as an expert witness in the UK courts but I am only a bit player in any case. 1/2 a transit van is about my norm for written evidence and that is only over ownership of of land! let alone any rights that may or may not go with it.

Whilst we are twiddling our thumbs a thought based upon a post some time ago.

Some will remember that we were offered access to the BP gas inter-conector as the quality of our gas was good. Bp must have made a very good internal business case to invest that amount of money as they do not come cheap.
Not being an expert here but I presume that for this to be financially viable from BP s 'point of view they must have or believe that they have access to enough gas to make it pay for itself ( Kind of common sense)
So does any body know the state of play on this inter connector? is it use? is it full ( By that I mean running a good pressure/ volume? is it commercial viable at present? My only reason for asking is that if BP still need more gas it just may help keep them interested at least in the gas and certainly the competition such as block energy appear to be way behind us in field surveys etc. Any views?

Once again thanks to all who have wished me well it has always been said that we are a band of brothers. I really do appreciate it. Just a tip to some . if you have been on any long term medication then look up on the NICE web site for any side effects. It was a tip given to me by my consultant and so far has resulted in a few words of wisdom to my GP surgery. My Incident would have happened any way I expect but other medications have not helped! Thanks to all again and if we ever do have another meet up I am guessing that my AMEX card had better be available but I would hope that Zaza would put his hand in his pocket!

Thanks to all for your concern. I will live to fight another day and will be on the pills for a year ogh and I had a stent in a minor artery. The medics blame it on stress so I told them it was an oil Company I was invested in but they did not believe me until I told my Consultant about this board.- He later accepted my word!

I had to find something to post. I am sure you do not want details of my recent Heart attack!!!!!

Not posted anything of and consequence for a while now as in principle have been sitting on the side lines as nothing of any real value I can realistically comment on during the court cases. I suspect many LTH's are in a similar position.
I will however make comment on something which is easy to forget whilst court cases go on. That being the subject of Geo- Politics. The oil and now mainly gas industries are really driven by the geo political situations and BP are one of if not the best at this game and we are luckily I hope still having them involved. The importance of this O and G field which we understand is of commercial value for-fills the stated needs and desire of both the USA and Europe both in actual commodities ( Europe wants an independent gas supply from the Russian supply side and the USA wants a stable area under influence of the west in General and as much USA leaning as possible) this is an area where West meets West and also China. Having Frr as a basically USA leaning Company who appear to be able to influence and perhaps be influenced by the West and more specifically the Atlantic Council etc is of great value in it self. ( Hope and company are an unknown quantity in this area) Obviously no Government is going to influence a Court -well not publicly anyway!

I accept that this is part of the bigger picture but just a gentle reminder which is easily forgotten in all this bru ha ha and is perhaps more for the end game but our position will be under close Scrutiny from Governments big oil and gas and whilst at least publicly they can not interfere, they will want this mess all cleared up ( time will not be an issue for them at the moment) but to have a result that will help for fill national and international desires on the geopolitical stage. Discussed much in the past so apologise to the LTH's for repetition

Unless somebody is willing to claim to be an expert on the relevant area of Law and within the relevant jurisdictions I would suggest that all the comments have to be taken with a pinch of salt . I will admit that on occasion legal professionals can get things wrong on the interpretation of the law or their clients refuse to take there advice but at this level given the complexities and not even all the documents interpretation is at best guess work. Add to this we have employed at great expense and therefore experienced legal beavers in the relevant areas of law I would hope there advice is good and the Company have acted on it.
I would also add this is all about wining the war. you expect to loose the odd battle along the way.

With the best will in the world Mr Mole is not a Lawyer so why would he comment? What we need is a Mr Badger but that will be hard for them to admit for as I am sure that many people know English Law is clear that you speak with the Knowledge base that you profess and are therefore liable and responsible for your advice. Gone are the days that you could get free advice at the 19 hole!

I would just add that at level of both what is at stake and the lawyers in tow that to every action taken by either side this will if at all possible already have been taken into the plan of possible actions and counters already though through. I would humbly suggest that FRR have simply said some simple instructions to the right type of Lawyers a long time ago with a strategic goal clearly described. How we get there is to a large extent up to the legal team and there strategic planners. All the lawyers want to know is "can you afford it?" and leave the rest to us.

I think we can all guess what the FRR team strategic goal is and the ups and downs along the way do not really matter as long as we win. The LTH/s will remember many things from the oast and to the best of my recollection believe it or not Zaza and co have delivered just not perhaps in the order and the time frames we would of liked and we have not reached the end point yet but it is in sight. Remember this is nothing more than a money making machine.
I for one would say that we have a bit of Mr Preview having some difficulties in accepting that his music is not being played in the right order but at least it is the right notes. - One for the older ones of us!

"22 years on the planet" I presume you are not a an experienced member of the legal profession nor an experienced strategist nor an experienced politician ( I will forgive you that one as in truth there are not many of them) nor an experienced diplomat nor an experienced deal maker nor an experienced business person.The list goes but for any outcome which there will be as this is in the hands of a court the behind the scenes actions are not visible but will involve experts with experience and they are not cheap and way above many of our pay grades including you.

This is an opportunity for you to learn by watching you just may be able to at some later date make a few quid as obviously your 2 million inheritance of shares I expects means you may well get some more to invest without having to earn it at some point in the future. In the mean time please do not waste time on this board unless you have some actual knowledge to add

I would not read anything into the fact that Mole/FSG etc are not posting. They like me i would reckon have nothing to say whilst this is either in the hands or the Court or the legal teams and of course we only have partial information and have no real idea as to what is going on, at best it is guess work.
I would also add that these type of cases it is absolute normal for both sides legal teams to make it a condition of being willing to act on behalf of a client that they are either consulted or as I suspect here they have total control on communications until definitive solutions are found and we are a long way from that at present and we have not even got to stage of possible appeals. It may even happen that the USA case in front of a jury may have an application for reporting restrictions to be put in place and that even may come from the other side given that a lot of dirty wasting may come out.
Our super sleuths are good but even they can only get a partial picture.

I do understand all the frustration - I have that feeling my self but feelings to not alter what is going on.

I have no doubt that Mole and the other key members of the FSG keep an eye on the boards but have no doubt there is perhaps a very good reason why they are keeping quiet that we do not know about. The one thing we can say is that this is a very dirty fight and any thing that helps the other side WILL be used if they can find a way.
We can only sit and wait for a final conclusion which is very much up in the still.

BP would be the last of the international oil majors to quit exploring for shale gas in China because of poor drilling results, and its departure would leave the sector in the hands of domestic companies PetroChina (NYSE:PTR) and Sinopec
Royal Dutch Shell (RDS.A +0.6%) says it will exit the Baltic LNG liquefied natural gas project led by Russia's Gazprom (OTCPK:OGZPY) on the Russian Baltic Sea coast.

The above is a commercial decision in general and is just one of those things. On the other hand there is an increasing demand for gas and LNG. given the infrastructure both in place and planned and a general view of not being reliant of Russian gas etc. As long as we get out of this mess it can only make our assets even more valuable. Just a thought

Simple fact of the matter is that how and where any oil on the train tankers is disposed of has been a matter of convector on theses boards for many a year. We simply do not know officially but zaza has intimated very strongly that it DOES NOT GO TO THE OIL AUCTIONS Correction I am sure 3 meetings ago he stated it in public but willing to be corrected as my notes are not to hand. This has been trashed to death in the past and based upon what we had a general consensus on goes to support Mr Mole. I would also support Coggy as there was talk about a separator as a plan but it would be very small scale. So much has happened in the last 6 months that things may have changed but I can not see a good reason as to why or how the above can be any different.

As to why this topic has come up again at this moment in time eludes me. We know that we have Radio silence all we do know is that some operations are taking place in the field but what? and we have snippits of the court papers some of which seem to be very important as stand alone comments from the judge but the whole picture we do not have a clue.

I would fully concur with the view of Devez re both the very odd way that we act.. It is quite clear that things happen that should not happen and very much in our favour. Geo politics is more my bag than the techie O&G stuff. I have said this before but Companies like BP, Exon Shell etc have very close ties with the soft projection of Power for instance I have personal experience of the foreign office advisors who are embedded in BP. As to if the CIA are involved -who knows and they won't tell you.
But it is certainly correct to suggest that there are some very big people who have an interest in the region both Financially but also Politically. At the end of the day we should count ourselves lucky to at least to be in an area where Countries have to make their mind up as to if they face east or west and Georgia is facing west and getting the support it needs even if it not obvious. This is not a conspiracy theory as some things are very visible and it is an open question as to if we are directly or indirectly an active participant or just taking advantage of the bigger picture. Either way it is not a negative in the near to medium term in my view
