I think that our thoughts are closely aligned lets hope we are right! I am convinced that the likes of Bp and halibuton would want to make sure that there are no nasty surprises for maybe a jV or a gas buy out. Surely they would want to deal with a very clean lean partner and not have to deal with what they would see as annoyances. IF it turns out to be a JV say with BP for the gas would Bp want a Bp logo next to an Frr logo with one of them smelling like pig swill. From a corporate point of view I would NO. All they have done so far is to go looking with privileged but a JV is a different thing all together

I believe it is and presume it will be. - more clearing of both the the swamp and the balance sheet

This is certainly not the actions of a Company going down the pan. In fact exactly the opposite given the financial backing need for the bid.
As somebody said "you could write of book on the ups and downs of this Company" the question is Is it fantasy or real life?
But given the geo political importance the time span (Meremere we have been here for some 20 years i think) this is just a few moments in time. Certainly most Companies would have gone down the pan a number of times and as yet we have not which is odd -very odd.

All of the above is as it says a muse but quite a lot lot fits from my memory I am sure others could easily pull it apart (or even fill in the missing bits) But if I am right we are looking at happy days.

A fleeting thought has just run through my mind. Could it be the case that all this present legal action be just a part of a much bigger plan? Some will remember that zaza has not been CEO for ever. If you go back in time ( a long time) I could be a real gamble to move our assets from old Russian oil wells with very dodgy field technology (if you can call it that) and just a sniff of gas as to where we are now. Along the way from literally red neck oil strikes to modern methods of extraction of both oil and gas is quite a journey and very high risk which needed a lot of money with perhaps high rewards ie a gamblers paradise which was open to lots of dodgy deals including with out side bodies such as the Georgian government ( i should add that along this long journey there has been a lot of pressure to cut a lot of the dodgy stuff out- think of the pressure the USA has put on the Gov to clean it self up and face west? ) Zaza becomes the CEO and finds out about the past but also has the new knowledge that the gas is commercial and all the new techie stuff makes this a very big deal which there is no way the Company can develop the gas on is own so its a JV or sell off. Remember zaza has already stated that gain from the gas and go for the oil ourselves as a preferred option. If I am right nobody would enter into a JV with a company with a dodgy background as they do not want to be associated with but they may do such things as an NDA to enter the data room etc(BP) and they may may help with further proving up the field with there expertise ( Halberton) but will not make the big moves until the swamp has been cleaned up.
Zaza as CEO only has one option - to do as they say but this takes time and has to be done without getting egg on any bodies face and it costs money - remember how we were all very surprised how already known loans etc were due and it was all turned around in a bit of a funny way. And remember we were were still a pubically quoted company with all that goes with this over transparency (hic!) A very difficult thing to do but a high reward if it can be done ( remember the number of times we have been surprised that the lights are still even up to the last few weeks)
By chance the high risk plan hits a hurdle, we get de listed. If you have an ultimate goal which is made harder by being transparent a good CEO says bad situation but what advantages are there? you can clean the swamp behind closed doors but with people knocking on your door you need time hence the legal actions taking place now and push the fast clean up button. ie take a hit for a bigger gain.

The above is of course a fantasy story but may have just a few grains of truth in it.
Two things remain in my mind "You do not fight over an empty box" not my quote but we are all suprised that the Company still seems to working in its exploration side by the recent bids elsewhere.

Have you ever read " Chariot of the Gods" ? - A lot of unrelated facts put together to make a plausible outcome. Seems we are in a similar story line - or not.

All I can now work out is that we are still alive and hoping for some more exploration hopefully

Given that Zaza has previously stated that they WERE to busy to enter this area I can only guess that perhaps with hope off the board they are "a little less busy" I do have to say though I am a little surprised that from a structural point of view they have not set up FFR Moldovia or what ever or am I jumping the gun?

I am sure that many will not have time to read the recent email from the team. I would suggest that you take time out to read it. I am sure that some of the LTH's will already have understood why there has been no communications from them ESPECIALLY for some of us at least knowing the people involved who are very diligent in both their thoughts and actions on our behalf

There has been some negative views of the group on here, perhaps this is understandable as we are all in the same boat ie frustration at the lack of communication from the Company, and half pictures from the Court documents. It is quite simple really. If they will not communicate with the group what can the group do? I supposes the group could have a fight with the Company but is this wise at this moment of time? Perhaps that is a matter of judgment but I do support the group my self in thinking this may not be wise or very practicable.
Form your own view but I for one support them and I am grateful for there hard work so far.

No news is good news- I HOPE!

Whilst it is good fun to muse over what the share price could/might get to ( even I can dream) I just thought it may be worthwhile to also muse over what Zaza has said publicly stated as his aims which I will call his strategic vision.
1) he and the other directors have aligned them selves with us little share holders as far as share holder value goes.
2) He sees the future in selling off the gas assets and ideally developing the oil ourselves
3) Once completed moving onto the exploration in Moldavia

To achieve any or all of the above is journey and a half given both the size of the assets. The corruption issues and the list goes on and on until the present day with these court cases.

If you can take the emotion out of our investments and look at has been achieved I reckon we have a Company which has clear direction and a determination to succeed and by the look of it, success seems not that far away what ever other issues come our way.
Having met Zaza on o number of occasions I believe he is an honest decent bloke and has that somewhat old fashioned value of loyalty and in this case loyalty to us as share holders. Many of us can fill more detail to the above which backs this all up.

I firmly believe this will come good as long as nobody wants to get rich quick

Nice to see the discussions are about production of both gas and oil for a change. All this legal stuff is way above my head. Lets hope you are right!

Remember that BP always put a whole package together so that they are ready to with every thing organised. As long as the NDA is wide ranging I hope we will be part of it.
Having difficulty concentrating today. By now my my old would have been well up the beach by now. His best legs had been blown off and one landed on his shoulder and gods knows what else.

With a bit of luck it will be our D day today with the beginning of the end of our troubles but it does put a bit of perspective on things

Just one of those rare occasions when I really wish my old man was still alive. How he would have loved to been able to attend and recognise his fallen mates. Call me a silly+ 60 year old nut even my generation do not appreciate how lucky we are. As for our kids well not a clue!

Perhaps a lot of people do not understand shorting when it is used in its extreme form, I know people in the city who have a rational view who say that it does have a positive side!

Remember that Zaza comes from a metal trading business before and in speaking to him personally he did not begin working behind a computer screen. Not a story for detail now but he knows the tough game !

I think you will find that the Board have not taken a salary. As far as "the workers go" most i.e. the majority will be contractors and just move on on to the next rig and there are plenty of these jobs around.

As to worrying about the workers not the the most important issue and in my view not even an issue when investing. People loose or get made redundant all the the time and if it creates efficiency savings I have never herd a shareholder be concerned if exactly the opposite as it normally leads to greater profitability

Not had time to read and digest the find but looking at the comments of a serious nature by others certainly all is not lost. This is certainly going the way good USA lawyers play the game with the prospect of possibly a little bit more to come. TOO early for me to say a killer blow or as they say a slam dunk but things are looking up.

Just based upon one experience of Liquidators tend to work at there own speed. In my own experience when I owed a legitimate invoice to a Company which had gone bust it took six weeks to get a simple reply and I was trying to pay them! May not be relevant here though
