I think that we are just going to have to accept that there will be radio silence until all matters are resolved., as yet again we may have some factual stuff from the Court but I am guessing it is still not a complete picture. I would accept that what we can see has a little more than a positive slant at last but there is still a long way to go. For what it is worth the reaction of the Judge has been dealt with and consequences have happened, but please remember this is a senior judge, however much we may want it it should not colour any future outcomes except to say that he may be a little more circumspect in just accepting what is presented to him ie he may well question verbally a little more to gain detailed clarification. If our submissions are both well presented with complete clarity the more he questions the better the decision in law will be which ever way it goes. Hopefully in our favour.

If I may add just a personal view. Having seen UK high court judges in action it never fails to astound me their intelligence when there is either a lack of clarity or they think they have not been given the full picture. Of course the presentation are done by the Barristers but the judges can then react back. If this judge and I take the view that he is of the same standard he will have read and understood the bundles in very great depth on both sides and will want to pick holes in an argument. Again my view only but this is quite a high profile case which may have ramifications for other cases. He is still not at the top of the tree yet and will not want to have his decisions overturned by a higher court on his own wekness's. In his area of control he will take as long as he needs.

I have decided to wait until I have had a chat with a friend of mine who is an FA in a major firm. My reasons are as follows despite being tempted to sign immediately.Please note my reasoning that my conversations are done over a beer. Those who know me will understand! My vague memory is as follows but not in any order
1 Mr trump has recently either put restrictions or banned shorting - comment being that banning shorting on the markets is already gaining traction- I would like this confined.
2) Given that shorting is a function of the present uk Markets and associated business there is a lot of many at stake - I can not see the UK Gov banning shorting for shorting sake, However is there a way for raising money for Aim type Companies ie the original and legitimate intention but stopping the Gamble of shorters without the destruction of a legitimate fund raising capability. My concern here is really a bit like us we take an informed gamble (?) but without the intention of destroying the Company in fact exactly the opposite but the Commercial shorters have a duty to try to make a return and is often high risk and sometimes quite large sums of money

3) I will also ask if my memory is correct what excatly has trump done and is it working?

These may sound daft questions and more than happy to post a reply which will only be his opinion but there is something in the back of my mind which I can not put my finger on which just may have a very negative effect on.

On a completely different subject as an LTH and I think I speak for many I really have not much intention of posting until we know what the score is or like the above subject deserves comment on a related subject. However I am not sure that many of us PI's do much more than look in on the odd occasion and will be waiting for our good frinds either YJ of our investor group to have something to say. If this petition is to be worthwhile spreading the message will have to be posted all over the Place to get big numbers to support so that is not just a written answer from government but to get a form of debate in Westminster Hall. I think the number is about 100,000 signatures. If this target is achieved , those who do sign MUST lobby their MP's of what ever party to encourage them to take part.

For those reading magics post! I would buy a hard copy of Great Expectations and have a good read to pass the time until news - it is not a bad read. Lets not hope anybody has to buy War and Peace - also a good read but takes too long to get to the end

You are quite right to raise this as a possibility. It certainly would be a fit for them given their other interest but it would be a bidding war with Exon around the place but they both have deep pockets. If Gocc is going to open for such a bidding war it is helpful in more than one way.
Who ever gets it will clean the stables so to speak and get rid of some of the dodgy stuff. Which is of real importance to all the relevant Government interest Remember the face west bit.
It will certainly focus a few minds on transparency.

If this does come to fruition it will be a bit of slam dunk in terms of information.

It certainly would be helpful to us who ever gets it but I fear it is in an embryonic stage in terms of realty at present

Any negateers their I can only remind you that as I stated we are all gamblers IF you are invested you must have done your own research and made a choice. WIN OR LOOSE.

As for any detail of what I have said it is certainly not the complete story you would need a book to cover that! but the principle points I have made are all correct. Nobody knows all the detail except the Company but their are some real experts on this board who have worked in the field to earn their money. With what any detailed information is public they have been able to explain in some detail what this means - you may have to go back to posts over a year ago to find it but it is there. We know the fields quality and it is not beyond the realms of reason that either Bp or BH would even be involved if they did not have a lot more than just positive thoughts! I of course accept they can both pull out but look at their track record - it is not their style and they are both risk adverse ( BP more so) when it comes to reputational damage and their own shareholder interests. BP especially is still climbing out of the deep water issues in terms of reputation and big shareholder sentiment and add in their sensitivity and knowledge of geo political stuff it perhaps makes sense that it was not made public their interest ( to put it mildly) add in their modus opperandae ( Latin is a bit weak I know) with a full turnkey solution from day one of going public and following actions I think that covers that ground.

The one issue which is a potential problem is I accept the wishes of the Government to reclaim . Firstly Nationalisation is not on the cards. Two given their wish to face more towards the west they will comply with the terms of the contacts with us over the license Others who have read the terms feel that as yet we have not broken that contract yet. Lets deal with that IF and when it becomes a reality.

Whilst we wait for the legal out comes, this may be a pertinent time to look back a bit as to why we are in this situation.
Firstly lets just remember how most exploration goes in terms the norm ( and there are many other Companies who follow this path most of whom are small companies) In simple terms they take a gamble ( ie high risk - and if lucky high gain) and drill a hole in the ground. If all goes well they develop it further in the hope that what they find has any commercial potential and bingo - happy days. Of course this does not include any other interference such as politics, corruption. technical the list goes on and can become a stopper. In many cases the size of the commercial field will dictate just just who will in effect developed the field . A minor , a Major or a super Major in our case a super major appears to be in the frame. Start adding the quality of the oil/gas in our gas we have equivalent of liquid gold for the oil and gas good enough to go directly into the main Bp gas interconector. Again look back We have suffered under Political. technical. corruption and Russian issues from the point of our involvement. All largely overcome but only recently in real terms a few years ago. The list of hurdles we have overcome is enormous even if it has taken time. I could go on in this whole area but this is good enough.

Looking to the future we have liquid gold and high quality gas on a scale that only a super major can take forward and we have BP more than interested. The Political support is their finally from the Georgian Government and with back of Uncle Sam and a demand from The EU to reduce dependency of Uncle Joe. The Technical problems seem to have been overcome in principle due to better tech stuff.. Infrastructure of the gas is near by with agreed access but I admit large scale oil is still an issue. From what I can gather other than the legal stuff in real term short term funding is the real issue and we think a deal is in the offing which by chance may well solve the legal problems.

I know of no other Company in the sector who have anything like what we have in potential looking forward or have overcome as many problems in the past

Whilst we have have not jumped the last hurdle yet I would say things are still looking good.

All of us are gamblers here but just for once I totally agree with Malcy's comment "DO NOT SELL" there is too much at stake for this to fail at the end of the day even for Mr hope and his lot for if it fails we loose the License and it all goes back to the Government and even he cops a packet.

Forget the dream world of £1 a share profit. Just wait for these hurdles to be overcome as something good will come as we are still producing some income.

What a well balanced comment! I congratulate you.

Other than to say all any of use can do on a BB is to make a comment. A few do not understand this and think that they influence what can happen over our own individual investments because of course we are just indervidual investors who make our own decision, just lucky enough to have a coupe of spare quids to to help look after theor kids as any good parent would do if they can.

On the other hand I have learnt so much from the O& G industry from members of this board. too long for detail but as an example given the high pressure of the the gas which appeared to be a problem just how it can be dealt with from PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY DONE THE JOB! ( Sorry never liked getting my boots dirty!) which has informed me greatly.
It is no point moaning about the idiots or paid fools trying to get a couple of quid for deramping on behalf of shorters or indeed rampers who have their hard earned invested but I propose one thing.

If this comes good why not all put a few quid of our profit into a fund to JR the AIM authorities? after all all most of the investor group will be able to afford it. to add to this The shorters empire is diminishing. Mr Trump has got rid of it in the USA and the mood in the city is not that favorable. or perhaps get a professional lobby to Parliament to kill that despicable market! - Funny how the EU which wants more and more unnecessary regulation except when it comes to cleaning up the European markets.

Do not forget that we have been told by BP That we can have direct access to their gas inter connector as the quality of our gas is good. This was discussed some time last year

Just an an interesting meeting this morning with my Chartered Surveyor acting on my behalf. He was until age related retirement a divisional Director of a well known super major - NOT BP but similar. We were talking about HS2 and what a mess it is in mainly because it is being done piecemeal... He put forward the idea that BP in a project with such huge potential as ours would probably act in the same way as Shell, "ie ALL the pre planning, All the equipment orders and about everything else you can think of all the way down to how many toilets you need on each site and the price of bog paper locally is all worked out before any major moves are made by Shell so that once a deal is signed they have equipment and people on the move within hours of any deal being singed."
He also stated that if BP are like Shell poor old little PI's like ourselves are not placed on the bottom of the pile for money as the costs relationship of satisfying the needs and desires of shareholders is very minor in the grand scheme of things and any hold ups by shareholders is an annoyance they can do without."

Given the above and with the hope that BP act like Shell which in principle at least I expect they do. It will certainly take a bit of time to put it all together - I would think many months given the slim line version of BP. This leads me on to thing that if we come out of the court case cleanish this may even be a very welcome break not being on the open market and our pockets may still rattle with a little bit of change after due celebrations.

I can only only go on what Zaza has said in public meetings and then personally to me over a drink and I quote.
"My ambition is that the we keep the oil and develop it ourselves on a self funding basis ( That we be about 220 wells) and leave the gas to the big boys. this allows us to develop elsewhere give me all my money back as well as you with a nice big profit. that's the plan and I will do my best to keep to it!"

Allowing for the bumpy road which we all knew about but perhaps not quite as bumpy as this. I believe Zaza is still aiming for this so I do not believe share certs will be issued if it can helped.

There is stuff that a few of us know about Zaza which has either been posted in the past or would not be repeated on a message board for good reason which makes me still believe he has our interest at heart

As you say there is no need to rush in revitalizing the contact group but Knowing you I will not expect anything much from you an this Saturday as no doubt you will be sampling many drams of different types tonight! 1 I do hope that you do not think that I am against your grouping of share holders ( see my previous posts) - in fact I am in supportive of this in principle subject to the heads up I have posted ( I have just been in contact with my Broker who agrees with the dangers of being classed as a concert party ESPECIALLY if Malcy's comments of relisting are true)
2 Your public comment to be put in contact with the "Gang" of F of F is both welcome and wise. Sadly I am not willing to give out private email addresses on a public board but I will email those i Know to give them a nudge. but how do they contact you privately? Would you be willing to set up say a temporary hotmail address or something so they can contact you?
3) I am sure that their wisdom would not only be useful but happily given as it save a lot of duplication of the knowledge base over what can or can not be done without causing difficulties. II know it was a lot of hard work to get it right.
4) As a suggestion you may like to email Tim at yellow jersey to say what you are doing and what you want to achieve - may take a day or two to get an answer. It will save them getting loads of emails from individuals and it helps if they have a single point of contact but please note what they have already said over communications . I have already had a comms direct from them ( Only the link to malcy's blog which of course all useres of this board IF they are looking will already know about).
5) Do not underestimate the value of some of the long term holders who know Zaza well and can communicate directly with him - There is more than one but not that many - I am sure you can guess who they are.

I do hope some head my advice of forming a "concert party" I remember it really did cause some real concerns legally and you and the gang ( now less our Sgt Major"!) put a lot of work into to keeping FoF legally clean. I Have no doubt that if we re list that Hope and his gang will have no issues in taking legal actions against the group if they act as a "concert party" It would give them a real entry back into the fray even if they get burnt in the legal stuff.

I would not want want that AT ALL. just as I would not want the members of any such "Concert Party" to feel the long arm of the Law either.

With the hope of getting relisted in the near future. I would be very careful about forming this group. It is OK whilst we are a private Company but things change a lot if we are re listed.

The danger is becoming a "concert party" and this may well have implications and perhaps even a partial barrier for the future.

Fof F were very careful about how they acted and from memory even took legal advice so as not to cause issues.

As I say not an issues at this precise moment in time but be careful. I would be very cross if this group caused further difficulties.
