The discussion reinforced my view that holding shares bin s company at the vanguard of this technology is beyond sensible.

Why is that? I think investors know you need something to obsess over so have sat back to oblige.

I don't expect dividends here in the foreseeable future. The company priorities are likely to be

1. Attainment of profitability. This could come quite soon as sales of CiRGt and PSE ramp up.

2. Self financing of the development pipeline as they bring ambitions for ALS, rheumatoid arthritis. Breast cancer, skin cancer etc to fruition.

The profits should quite rightly go to growing the company and Mcap towards its ultimate (massive) potential. Shareholders will be rewarded by multi-bagging on their investments provided they get in early enough.

I can see us getting an indirect hint about the direction of travel via an announcement of expanded lab capacity or lab partnerships. I will be disappointed if the insurance agreement in the US doesn't lead to rapid sales growth. Each piece of news that drops is likely to take the company significantly closer to profit and self financing of core research activities. Looks like a bright future to me.

This point has been thoroughly discussed not only on share forums but by oncology professionals that have peer reviewed the science. They are sufficiently convinced of the science that the test has already been approved for reimbursement by medical insurers such as Medicare in the US and BUPA in the UK (albeit the latter is for the related CiRT test that uses the same science and technology). The results of the Prostogram program have been published in the journal 'Cancers' and it was one of the journals 10 most read articles in 2023.

It is a common misconception that the cohort of 147 patients tested in the prostogram project is too small to have statistical significance. This is because the PSE test is based on 3D genomics and mapping the genome for multiple biomarkers indicative of prostate cancer generates huge numbers of data points from a relatively small cohort. This concept has already been demonstrated to be effective accross a range of cancers drawn from different patient populations resulting in OBD being having the largest world leading database of 3D biomarkers. In their article Prostate Cancer UK are simply recognising that for sake of completeness the prostogram programme should be repeated for more ethnic groups, age ranges etc. They are not casting doubt on the underlying science or conclusions as you seem to suggest. OBD recognise the need to repeat the success of prostagram on more diverse and larger patient cohorts and that work is underway. There is no reason to believe it won't succeed and if anything it seems likely to enhance the accuracy of the test further by potentially identifying further relevant biomarkers.

I think it would be terrible timing for a placing. The last one wasn't so long ago and was supposed to finance the lab expansions anticipated to support the growth of CiRT and launch of PSE. Another one now would invite some uncomfortable questions. Besides I want to know how sales are going as there is a very good chance they will be moving us into profit. Shareholder sentiment is very important. Let's see the fruits of the last placing before looking at another.

I think it is entirely plausible that some of OBD's partners from 'big pharma' are considering the nature of their future relationship with OBD.

I also think it likely that there will be another announcement from OBD/BUPA with respect to the PSE test.

The fact that the paper is one of the 10 most read articles by cancer specialists is very encouraging. The need/desirability of an advertising campaign is, for me, less clear. It is potentially expensive and there was a lot of coverage during the launch. It won't take many men availing themselves of the test for word to spread amongst patients. I'm fully anticipating an exponential growth of sales in the coming year.

For those, like me, that invested because of hhe PSE story, it's worth googling 'checkpoint inhibitor growth rate'.

A. CAGR of 16% combines with the success rate and cost of the treatments to suggest that CiRT has a very positive outlook. OBD is tapping into some very lucrative market sectors with its ground breaking technologies. Very encouraging for investors.

The fact they are actively recruiting a customer services manager for the Maryland lab suggests sales in the US are going nicely. The update, when it comes, should make for pleasant reading.

Yes indeed Dibs. We need to remember that until recently OBD were essentially an Oxford Uni spin-off company focused on R&D. The episwitch platform is the cornerstone of their transformation into a commercial organisation. Currently they only employ 40-50 people so the ongoing recruitment of a new lab operative and a customer liaison officer is a significant expansion of personnel. I anticipate seeing more such job vacancies in the short term future and such recruitment is a strong indicator of the anticipated commercial success of CiRT and PSE testing.

The markets have been dreadful for quite a while. Seems to me that many private investors have taken to.chasing rainbows in search of a quick profit. The value of a company with no debt and a steady guaranteed income stream appears to be lost amidst the general market turmoil.

PXEN is a safe haven. Amazed that this isn't valued.

Fair follow up post. I definitely agree that it would be great if the company was already profitable as I would anticipate a tsunami of institutional I vectors if that were so. The current rate of sales growth and the profit margins on the products should see a much healthier balance sheet in short order. The year ahead promises to be truly transformational and when the I.I's arrive (I am hopeful that is only weeks away) it will bring about a significant step up.in the SP.

By the way, I understand why you regard the research grant a 'one-off' but as a one time academic I know how these things work and I'd be amazed if OBD are not in receipt of regular grant funding from a variety of sources. Indeed any emerging biosciences company will be dependent on securing that type of regular income pending commercialisation of its products.

The burn rate you suggest is significantly misleading as a research grant to the company had been delayed by a month or so and was not included in the accounts. This is addressed by the CEO in one of the video presentations from earlier this year. Even if that was the burn rate. It would only take a few thousand PSE tests per month to cover. High development costs are the norm in the life sciences, but when you develop a breakthrough technology that adresses a huge and known market need? Well you can do.your own arithmetic.
