Blimey, if you google 'load shedding' it looks like Eskom seem to have the world monopoly on it!!!

I can see why they are keen to have large scale storage, six units going down at once is pretty serious and to have the company website helpfully telling you when your power is going out is a bit like back to the 70's here!

Eskom have 4 stages of shedding in blocks of 2 hours:
Stage 1 = 1000MW up to
Stage 4 = 4000MW

So, potentially 8000MWh......... how many tonnes of V for that little beauty!
