RE: Simples.....28 Apr 2020 12:08
Hi Comeonsres, hope you are well. I read your post and wonder which December you refer to as for the permit application.
Patrick and the team have been working on baseline studies etc for the permit pretty well right from acquiring the project.
The main date in for the permit application was the Plan of Operations submission last May 13th (not superstitious but not turned out to be a lucky date!). Here from the RNS;
Sunrise Resources plc (ticker symbol 'SRES'), the AIM-traded company focusing on the development of its CS Pozzolan-Perlite Project in Nevada, USA, is pleased to advise that it has submitted its combined Mine Plan of Operations/Nevada Reclamation Permit Application ("Plan of Operations") to the US Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection's Bureau of Mining Regulation and Reclamation (NDEP & BMRR).
As you know around that time the expectation was we might get approval later in Q4 of last year - so lets say end December worst case. As we know though the BLM then changed the goalposts (requested more reports) and we got this RNS on 4th December 2019;
Following a progress review with the Company's lead permitting consultant, EM Strategies, Sunrise Resources plc wishes to advise of a delay to the completion of mine permitting for its CS Pozzolan-Perlite Project in Nevada, USA.
The delay has been caused by the late introduction by the lead regulator, the US Bureau of Land Management ("BLM"), of some additional information reporting requirements for one of the Company's Supplemental Environmental Reports.
Whilst the BLM has undertaken to work expeditiously to review the additional information in order to mitigate any delay, the Company now believes that this requirement, when coupled with the forthcoming Christmas and New Year holidays, will push the completion of mine permitting into early 2020.
I have no idea if PC or the Company gets any indication from the BLM of likely timescales for the permit being posted for public comment. But imagine for a minute that in December the BLM said sorry Patrick this is not going to happen for minimum of 5 or 6 months. If PC has announced that I think maybe the SP would have tanked. He must be in a difficult position deciding what to post. Let's face it he must have been given an original expectation of Q4 2019 so it seems he does not want to announce to us any forecast dates from the BLM because if they slip it reflects on him.
From my perspective I will just accept at face value the most recent statement of 26th March that we are at a very advanced stage in the process. But yes I share your frustration on this as no doubt Patrick does himself as he has around 8% of this Company if I am not mistaken.
