Wentworth CEO sees both capital and dividend growth opportunities in Tanzania's Mnazi gas field Watch Now
What he doesn't explain is why this has happened.. who is responsible?
it is plain n simple the establishment have been ripping off the system. It was in the 70's that the US cam,e off the gold standard.. the Vietnam War and dare I say the Space Program that kept Government spending sky high. The last Apollo missions were cancelled. but the war budget has increased ever since... and to emphasise the point the day before 9-11 Rumsfeld announced announced that $2.3 trillion was unaccounted for in the military budget. Thats when the US debt was $4 trillion!
But after the 80's recession they kept lowering interest rates to avert recession.. and americans kept refinancing to keep the party going that led to the housing boom in the US but that housing boom was built on fraudulent loans.. and because the banks did want to hold those mortgages they hid them in securities and sold them to the highly paid whizz bangs in finance around the globe. The BBC told us.. ''..the US government announced it plans to file a lawsuit against Standard & Poors, ....
They argue their ratings encouraged financial institutions around the world to buy and sell what proved to be 'toxic' financial products in their trillions." http://www.bbc.com/news/business-21334502
IN THEIR TRILLIONS!!
The BBC told us at the time that the City (Establishment)Whizz bangs did not understand what they were buying!
"S&P to pay $1.4bn to regulators in sub-prime debt case
Ratings agency Standard & Poor's (S&P) has agreed to pay a $1.38bn (£934m) settlement to US regulators over allegations it knowingly inflated its ratings of risky mortgage bonds.
The bonds, which included sub-prime mortgages, were blamed for the collapse of the US property market and subsequent global financial crisis"
$1.38 billion is mere bunce compared to the trillions. I'd say it was commission for the government! Other ratings agencies were fined similar amounts. Remeber those in the city laughing at the Wall st protesters the same in London! Nobody went to jail! Why because it was the Clinton govt that told the banks to lend to anyone & everyone!. How could they jail anyone when the defence in court would be the govt told us to do it!
It really has been the scenario of Wily Coyote running off the cliff and if he can run fast enough he wont plunge to earth. He always did!
They tell us that interest rates are low because inflation is low.. but it has been kept low by exporting our jobs and importing cheap goods. when I was in the US last year.. a cauliflower albeit a large one.. $5.09 Those caulis were not being snapped up. This is the US where food used to be cheap? On returning I noted caulis in waitrose £1 altho smaller so you could say a similar size would cost £1.50.
But its all very well Maloney giggling but he doesnt get to the root of the problem!
If you think Russia is corrupt what on earth are you doing here? Oligarchs bumped off so what? How many western oligarchs punished after 2008?? None! Disidents bumped off..?? just ask yourself cui bono if a dissident is bumped off... not Russia or Putin!
Journos bumped off in Russia.. yet BBC journos (Dimbleby) wander around Russia ****ging off Putin and yet they are allowed to do so.. not even booted out of the country?.. and gaining access to the passports of the 2 Skripal suspects.. as Stephen Sakur on BBCs Hardtalk said to Bellingcat boss, security in Russia is lax compared to the west!
And yet in both the Skripal case & Litvinenko death.. convicting the suspects wouldve been nigh on impossible in a UK court... and when you look at the high profile murder cases in the UK... where there is a conviction.. they are nearly always overturned on appeal;.. Guildford 4 Maguire 7 Birmingham 6.......and look how long those people spent in jail.. good grief!
And corruption.. look no further than Browder.. Take a shufti where he was working prior to going to Russia?
I wonder if the reason flu disappears in the summer is because people get out n get the sun & get a dollop of vitamin D... little if anything to do with the warmer weather.. when do germs etc get zapped by 70-80 degs F?
Well thats my knighthood assured....
I'd suggest that people listen to Radio 4's ''More or Less''..
I'd suggest you start with the 'Coronavirus Special'
and work your way forward....
I recall on AMC there was the company Jinchuan who were in nickel mining... this was touted by the board and then attempted resuccitation by commenters on the AMC chat pages.. nothing materialised.. Jinchuan never mentioned again by the board and just faded away! My last bit of research on Jinchuan saw them in the philipines (or may have been Indonesia ) doing business there...???
There is so much here that is so very deja vu ...
and then there was this..
NORNICKEL ANNOUNCES THE WITHDRAWAL OF RUSSIAN PLATINUM FROM THE ARCTIC
PALLADIUM PROJECT https://www.bloomberg.com/press-releases/2020-03-20/nornickel-announces-the-withdrawal-of-russian-platinum-from-the-arctic-palladium-project
It shows that little has changed since this article... raising cash for Russian businesses is still tough..
''Norilsk Nickel was not ready to invest in Bystrinsky project without partners due to the present lack of external funding to all Russian businesses. Even being the world’s largest nickel producer and third-largest global mining company with a market value of US$30bn, Nornickel currently has problems to finance new projects associated with falling commodity prices, volatility by ruble, and wear down political controversy. The project is estimated to be worth US$750 million.''
We should not lose sight of the fact that we are a Russian company with all its pluses and minuses.. an extension of the suspension could well be on the cards to give norilsk more time!
the flu vaccine is not infallible.. ''The flu vaccine’s failure to protect against some of the key strains of the infection contributed to more than 50,000 “extra” deaths in England and Wales last winter, according to data from the Office of National Statistics.... The NHS was rocked by a record winter crisis in early 2018, with a massive rise in flu cases...''
I still stick to this being a drama created by the establishment to cover their mishandling of 2008 and not fixing the problem... in fact continuing to make it worse... which would be good for us.. but then.. No, not really.
Gov't continuing to print money and the eu to sell 500,000,000 on the market to raise the cash... but who will buy.. it will be stolen from the pension funds!... and then pensioners will wonder why there pensions are worthless!
But we'll know won't we children! :o))
The question is can they keep borrowing & printing with no detrimental effect? I don't think so!
Climate change ? ''Prof.BRIAN COX claimed "things can only get worse" for life on Earth, after revealing how astronomers discovered that the Sun is getting hotter and brighter by the day, ...
COVID-19 I am more worried about catching scrapie from the Sheeple..
Our leaving the EU without a deal'' .. we cannot afford to stay in the eu!
''...In 1970 as a whole, the trade deficit averaged 0.2% of GDP – a performance that today would be greeted with jubilation rather than despair. Not since the early 1980s has the UK run a surplus on goods, and at the last count the annual deficit was running at £135bn. The deficit in manufactured products alone stood at £95bn.'' https://www.theguardian.com/business/2018/apr/08/why-the-uk-trade-deficit-with-the-eu-is-woeful-and-widening
I wish I could agree but cast your mind back to this ''There were around 50,100 excess winter deaths in England and Wales in 2017-18 - the highest since the winter of 1975-76, figures from the Office for National Statistics show.
NHS bosses sound alarm over hospitals already running at 99% capacity
DATE 7th DECEMBER 2017!
and barely a peep of concern from HMG!
Are all of those Nightingale hospitals furloghed..?
Birmingham’s Nightingale hospital has not taken a single patient since its opening 10 days ago https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/04/26/birminghams-nightingale-hospital-has-not-taken-single-patientsince/
Harrogate's NHS Nightingale teams return to work elsewhere while hospital remains on standby to receive first patient
Over the past 50 years when has HMG ever got anything right?
